ATMs Attacked in Solidarity with the 3 Comrades held Hostage by the State for the ‘Anarchist Action’ Case in Athens, Greece

In the early morning of Tuesday 8/2, once again the state acts repressively by arresting 2 comrades after the EKAM [Special Suppressive Antiterrorist Unit] team raided the house where they were staying due to an arson attack that took place at the Institute of National and Religious Reflection in the area of Ano Polis (Thessaloniki). After a few hours and for unknown reasons a third comrade was arrested.
The 3 comrades are accused of being members of a terrorist organization (under article 187A of the Greek state’s criminal code) by the name of Anarchist Action and were taken into custody on 11/2 with Thanos Hadjianangelou assuming responsibility for the arson, Georgia Voulgari asking for a defense lawyer and finally Panagiotis Kalaitzis renouncing all charges, as the only connection he had with the co-accused was allowing his house to be used as a Covid-19 quarantine space.
As we witness once again the brutal attack of the state against anybody that tries to resist, we claim responsibility for the spontaneous attack on 2 ATMs outside the Sklavenitis supermarket in Egaleo (a suburb in the west of Athens) at dawn on Tuesday 22/2. We are opposed to any form of repression and so, we in turn show our solidarity with anybody that experiences the regime of imprisonment and confinement.

We are aware that the main concern of the anti-terrorism police is to criminalize our actions, relationships and lives while priests, businessmen and domestic rapists go about their business unharmed.

We call for a barrage of attacks by every available means in the here and now until every one of our comrades is free.

UNTIL THE LAST PRISON IS TORN DOWN!

Solidarity to all comrades detained in the sweatshops of the Republic.
