MORE THAN 500 YEARS RESISTING AND STILL THE WAR CONTINUES
There is an undeclared war in Mexico. A war against women driven by patriarchy. A war against indigenous communities to dispossess them of their territories and natural resources and to end their organizations. A war against honest journalists who do not accept any of the overt or covert forms that “chayote” can take. A war against the “fools” who persist in organizing those from below to try to build a less unjust world.
It is a war that is denied, while there is talk of peace. In which thousands of dead, disappeared, wounded and displaced people are added up. A war that is waged mainly against those from below, in Chiapas, in Guerrero, in Michoacán and in any part of Mexico, are some examples.
A war that is executed from the power, masked or not. With various executors among them drug traffickers, protected from various instances of political and economic power.
Today we raise our voice in solidarity with the comrades of the Consejo Indígena Popular de Guerrero Emiliano Zapata (CIPOG-EZ) of the Montaña region of Guerrero who have been suffering constant aggressions from the narco-paramilitary group known as “los ardillos” who also call themselves “Peace and Justice” for more than three days. While the three levels of government “observe” and protect these criminals.
But these aggressors do not know of the decision of a dignified life in the native peoples. More than 500 years and they continue to resist different forms of violence. WE WANT TO TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE NOT ALONE, COMRADES.
We also send a warm combative greeting to the Nahua peoples of the state of Morelos, united in the UNIFICACION DE PUEBLOS Y COLONIAS CONTRA LA MINERIA EN MORELOS for the dignified struggle they are waging against a MEGAPROJECT OF DEATH AS IS MINING IN ALL ITS FORMS OF EXTACTION, here we have more than 7 concessions NOT OPERATING YET, BUT the devastation it is leaving in its wake will affect us all, our solidarity from afar compas do not desist until victory.
