We are informed that comrade Claudio Lavazza has been released from his abduction in Mont de Marsant (France). Lavazza is one of the anarchist prisoners who have been behind bars the longest, first in Spain and then in France.
Claudio Lavazza, in the 1970s, participated in one of the many armed groups in Italy that tried to storm the sky of the revolutionary dream, participating in expropriations, armed attacks and the escape of those who fell into the hands of the repressors; hiding first by choice and then by coercion, he continued to carry out expropriations, for example to finance subversive movements in Europe. Arrested in 1996 in Spain after a shooting after a bank robbery gone wrong, he served 25 years in prison, including eight in special solitary confinement, and was then extradited to France in 2021, where he was sentenced to serve a new 10-year sentence.
The release of Claudio Lavazza, who is now in his 70s, was vital, and a multitude of solidarity campaigns have been carried out to snatch him from the clutches of French justice.
