One year onto the Zionist war on Gaza and the Palestinian Resistance’s Operation al-Aqsa Flood, fighters engaged occupation forces in direct confrontations in the besieged territory.
In addition to these ground battles, the Resistance fighters launched a series of rocket attacks targeting key Zionist assets, including Tel Aviv.
Rocket attack on October 7, 2023
On Monday morning, at 11:00 am (local time), Hamas’ al-Qassam Brigades fired a salvo of M-90 long-range rocket artillery shells at the city settlement of Tel Aviv, explaining that the attack came in line with the ongoing battle of attrition and in response to Zionist massacres against Palestinians.
Al-Qassam fighters also launched salvos of 114mm rockets at the Sufa military site, Zionist military positions near Holit, and a command and control center at the Karem Abu Salem military site.
At 5:00 pm, the al-Qassam Brigades, al-Quds Brigades, National Resistance Brigades, al-Mujahideen Brigades, and al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, as well as other factions launched a concerted rocket and mortar attack on the Netzarim Axis, targeting occupation forces across the area.
The Netzarim Axis is occupied by occupation forces and splits the northern Gaza Strip, including Gaza City, from the rest of the besieged territory. The axis has also been crucial for the regime’s control over the movement of Palestinians northward, limiting the flow of aid, and launching ground invasions from its direction.
The al-Qassam fighters also fired several 114 mm rockets at the Sderot settlement, to the northeast of the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades launched a rocket attack on occupation forces located in the vicinity of the Kissufim military site.
The Brigades also fired a salvo of rockets at Sderot and Nir Am.
In the rocket attack that targeted Tel Aviv, several impacts were recorded, including an incident where at least two settlers were injured by shrapnel.
Direct confrontations
In the Gaza Strip, occupation forces had launched a wide-scale attack on the northern Gaza Strip, hoping to debilitate the Resistance’s rocket launching capabilities, ahead of October 7.
Fierce confrontations erupted across various fronts in the Gaza Strip, as Resistance factions reported a great deal on close-quarter battles.
In the northern Gaza Strip, al-Qassam fighters engaged in intense close-quarter battles with Zionist forces, west of Jabalia refugee camp. These confrontations resulted in significant Israeli casualties.
Additionally, the al-Qassam Brigades successfully targeted a Merkava 4 tank using a locally produced tandem rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), al-Yassin 105 shell, northeast of al-Bureij refugee camp, central Gaza. Defending against a Zionist attack on al-Bureij, the al-Qassam fighters shelled the invading forces in the northern region of al-Bureij camp.
In another operation, al-Qassam fighters deployed an anti-personnel explosive device against a Zionist force of 10 soldiers north of Gaza City, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries. Military helicopters were later observed evacuating the wounded from the battlefield.
The Brigades also launched a dual attack on two Merkava tanks with an explosive planted into the ground and an al-Yassin shell, again in the northeast of the al-Bureij camp. Furthermore, al-Qassam snipers successfully eliminated a Zionistsoldier in the same area.
In the al-Tawam area, north of Gaza City, al-Qassam targeted a Zionist armored personnel carrier (APC) with an al-Yassin RPG, and shortly after, another occupation soldier was killed by sniper fire in the same vicinity.
Meanwhile, al-Mujahideen Brigades announced that their fighters are engaged in fierce confrontations with Zionist soldiers and military vehicles on the Jabalia front in northern Gaza.
Al-Quds Brigades also reported direct engagement with a Zionist infantry force attempting to infiltrate the “Block 2” area in Jabalia camp. Additionally, they targeted a Merkava tank with a tandem RPG in the Qasasib area in central Jabalia.
Ansarallah and Hezbollah Pound Zionist Regime on Anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced Monday the launch of two military operations against Zionist targets, marking the first anniversary of the October 7 Operation al-Aqsa Flood.
These attacks were part of the fifth phase of Yemen’s escalation in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people and their resistance movements.
General Saree declared that the first operation, deemed successful, targeted two military sites in the occupied area of Yafa. The attack involved two ballistic missiles—Palestine 2 and Zulfiqar. He confirmed that the two missiles hit their intended targets.
In a second operation earlier in the day, the YAF’s UAV Force carried out a number of drone strikes on multiple targets in Yafa (Tel Aviv) and the southern region of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) in occupied Palestine. The strikes involved Yafa and Samad 4 drones, several of which successfully reached their targets, according to Saree.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reaffirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza and the West Bank, praising the “heroic fighters of the Palestinian resistance across all factions.” They also extended their support to the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, stressing that Yemen would continue to conduct military operations against the Zionist occupation until the end of its aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.
Brigadier General Saree emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces would also maintain a naval blockade until these conditions are met.
Long-range Zulfiqar missile used for the first time against the Zionist regime
A senior military source revealed that the Zulfiqar ballistic missile, which is Yemeni-made, was utilized for the first time in targeting Zionist assets. The Zulfiqar is classified as a long-range, surface-to-surface missile, previously unveiled by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The official stated that the Zulfiqar missile has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers, making it a highly strategic asset in Yemen’s missile arsenal. According to the military source, this is the first instance in which this missile had been deployed against the Zionist occupation.
The Zulfiqar missile is also known for its advanced capabilities, including maneuverability and the ability to evade detection by satellites and air defense systems, the source added.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah announced on Monday that its fighters carried out a series of rocket strikes targeting various Zionist military sites throughout Monday, marking a continued escalation in the face of the Israeli occupation.
The Islamic Resistance struck Nimra, one of the main military bases in the northern region west of Lake Tabarayya, with a barrage of rockets.
Later, they targeted a gathering of Zionist military vehicles and personnel behind the Jal al-Alam site, hitting the area with another rocket salvo. Another barrage hit the Karmiel settlement hours later.
The Resistance continued its operations throughout the day, with a rocket strike targeting the Kfar Vradim settlement, followed by a major strike on a group of buildings north of Haifa with a large rocket barrage. Simultaneously, Karmiel was hit again with a new round of rockets.
In the afternoon, the Resistance launched rocket and artillery strikes on a gathering of Zionist forces at the Qalaat Hill in Blida. This was followed by an operation targeting Israeli forces in Beit Hillel.
Another large rocket barrage hit a group of buildings north of Haifa, and another hit Zionist forces stationed at the Tallat al-Tayhat.
For the last operation of the day, Hezbollah launched a large barrage of rockets toward Unit 8200’s Glilot base in the suburb of Tel Aviv, with the Resistance underlining that it was in response to the ongoing massacres in Lebanon and Gaza.
