Ten Naxalite guerrillas were killed Friday in an armed clash with security forces in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The bodies of the ten fighters were found in a forest area in Sukma district. Automatic weapons were confiscated, including AK-47 rifles and SLR–type automatic rifles. One member of the special forces was seriously wounded. India has deployed tens of thousands of security forces to the region.
