The correspondent for the occupation Army Radio reported that “armed men opened fire on a [Zionist occupation] force in the Quneitra countryside,” noting that this is “the first time that fire has been directed at our forces after two months of freely roaming in Syria.”
An armed group calling themselves the “Syrian Resistance” announced in a statement the start of their operations “against the ‘israeli’ enemy alongside our operations against the terrorist Julani gangs,” indicating that they targeted “for the first time the ‘israeli’ occupation army in the Quneitra countryside,” forcing it to “retreat and withdraw.”
They also affirmed that they would not allow the Zionist regime to “occupy our land and will be on the lookout for you and the al-Julani gangs with our precise ambushes and surprise attacks.”
A Syrian faction also signed the document “Uli Al-Ba’s” (The Formidable in Might) claiming responsibility for targeting the Zionist forces that had advanced into the village of “Taranja“ in the countryside of Quneitra, Syria, with direct rocket fire, resulting in casualties among the ranks of the Zionist army.
Their statement read:
“The blood of the martyred leaders in Palestine, which has extended to Lebanon —a nation that sacrificed the most precious of what the resisting people possess across the entire world— Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Master of the Martyrs of the Path to Jerusalem and the Martyr of Resistance, all their souls today have borne fruit in victory.
Their blood, along with the blood of the Palestinian people, has only increased our determination and resolve to continue resistance and jihad, no matter how great the sacrifices. It will bring our Islamic nation closer to the promise of the Hereafter, which Allah has promised to His believing, resisting servants: victory and dignity.”
