Yesterday, the NTF-ELCAC (
) chided the revolutionary organizations for holding mobilizations for the occasion of the New People’s Army’s 56th anniversary. The fascist, anti-people, and faux-patriotic Task Force impotently wails at the actions held in UP and PUP on March 29. Not surprisingly, the NTF-ELCAC claimed as a sign of weakness the fact that the protests were held in-campus instead of more public venues. The NTF further states that they will elicit the support of the PNP in investigating the mobilizations. In doing so, they assert that they will root out “recruitment” and “radicalization” while respecting academic freedom. The NTF pretends to care about academic freedom out of fear of incurring further political setbacks. But it must be clear that academic freedom is fundamental, it cannot have half-stops especially so in the name of the preservation of a corrupt social order and state. Academic freedom cannot exist where educations and discussions are curtailed out of fear of “recruitment” and “radicalization”. The struggle for national democracy entails and realizes in full the people’s rights such as that of the freedom for assembly and academic freedom, especially inside universities.
As a revolutionary organization of the Filipino youth, KM (Kabataang Makabayan) struggles for true national freedom and democracy. We have a duty to proclaim the need for revolution under a puppet, exploitative, and fascist regime such as the present US-Marcos II regime. Through struggle, we assert that the people have a right to take arms against tyranny and the semi-colonial rule of the USA. As the people’s army, the NPA is a revolutionary force that assembles and arms the exploited and oppressed. It is our right and duty to proclaim the NPA as it truly is: as instruments for liberation of the Filipino peoples.
The investigation promised by the NTF is repression against students, organizations, and the academic administrators. The fascist NTF has time and again enacted reprisals against legal mass organizations and institutions when it fails to seek out the revolutionary underground. The NTF has sworn itself since inception as an enemy of the people an anathema to democracy and social progress.
Therefore, KM also calls for the abolition of the NTF-ELCAC as the representative of the most ideologically and politically fascist state institution. Unceasingly, KM calls for the mobilization of the Filipino and youth to rise up against the rotten semi-colonial and semi-feudal order.
To rebel is justified!
Advance the national democratic revolution!
Advance the people’s war!
