The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, confirmed on Wednesday evening that its fighters successfully targeted a Zionist force that had fortified itself inside a house near the al-Mashrou junction, east of Rafah in southern Gaza.
According to details released by the Brigades, the Resistance fighters struck the Zionist force with two TBG rockets, killing and wounding several of its members. The Palestinian fighters then advanced toward the house and finished off the remaining soldiers from point-blank range using light weapons.
In a second operation in the same area, the al-Qassam fighters managed to lure an occupation infantry patrol, consisting of ten soldiers and two military dogs, into a pre-prepared ambush rigged with multiple explosive devices.
As soon as the soldiers entered the kill zone, the Brigades detonated the explosives, resulting in fatalities and injuries, which prompted the deployment of Israeli helicopters, a move observed by the fighters amid ongoing confrontations.
‘Gates of Hell’
The al-Qassam Brigades stated that these two operations were part of its “Gates of Hell” campaign.
As part of the same campaign, al-Qassam’s military media published footage documenting its fighters executing a complex ambush targeting Zionist soldiers and their military vehicles near the al-Zahraa Mosque in the al-Jeneina neighborhood, east of Rafah, last Saturday.
Al-Qassam’s operations also extended to Khan Younis in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, specifically on al-Awda Street in the al-Fukhari area, east of the city. There, Resistance fighters detonated a pre-laid minefield targeting an Israeli mechanized force.
The explosion left members of the force either killed or wounded, after which the Palestinian fighters bombed the area with several mortar shells.
Al-Qassam fighters also observed the withdrawal of a destroyed military vehicle and the landing of Israeli helicopters for evacuation, according to a statement issued earlier Wednesday.
Several Zionist settlers were also injured on Wednesday in two separate operations in the occupied West Bank.
In the first attack, occupation media reported that four settlers sustained varying degrees of injuries after gunfire targeted a settler vehicle at the Barta’a-Reihan checkpoint, in the northern West Bank near the city of Jenin.
A correspondent for Zionist Channel 14 said the attack resulted in injuries, some of them described as serious, and that the Palestinians who carried out the operation withdrew from the scene.
According to Zionist forces, the Palestinians who carried out the Reihan attack opened fire from a vehicle toward the checkpoint, injuring settlers, including two soldiers.
A helicopter was dispatched to evacuate the wounded from the site of the shooting at the checkpoint.
Simultaneously, Channel 12 reported a car-ramming attack near Siddat al-Fahs in al-Khalil, which resulted in one settler being injured, while the Palestinian who carried out the operation was martyred.
These operations come amid the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, which was renewed in March 2025, and as Zionist assaults continue to escalate across various areas of the West Bank.
