Zehra Kurtay is a Turkish journalist and revolutionary who has lived in France since 2007. Recently placed in an Administrative Detention Center and then released, she is now under an OQTF (Obligation to Leave French Territory) and risks deportation at any time even if the threat of extradition to Turkey has been averted thanks to the mobilization (see this article). On Thursday, July 3, she decided to go on an indefinite hunger strike to defend her right to political asylum in France.
In order to support her, her supporters are calling for a large mobilization by organizing a 24-hour solidarity tent at Porte de Saint-Denis in Paris (boulevard Saint-Denis, 75010 Paris) which will be inaugurated at a press conference this Thursday, July 3 at 6 p.m. At the same time, about fifteen organizations in France have published a statement of support calling for its regularization (see here).
