Yemeni Drone Hits Ramon Airport in Southern Palestine

A Yemeni drone successfully breached occupied Palestinian airspace, penetrated Zionist air defenses, and struck its target in Ramon Airport in occupied al-Naqab, southern occupied Palestine, on Sunday.

Footage circulated on social media platforms showed the explosion of the Yemeni aircraft and smoke rising from the site in the aftermath.

Zionist media then confirmed that the drone hit a passenger terminal at Ramon Airport, injuring eight settlers.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced later in the day that their Air Force carried out the  large-scale drone operation against several Zionist targets across multiple locations in occupied Palestine, in response to the ongoing genocide and starvation of the people of Gaza.

According to the military statement, the operation targeted:

  • Ramon Airport in Naqab, which was forced to halt all aerial navigation and shut down temporarily.
  • Two sensitive military sites in Naqab, struck by three drones.
  • A vital target in Askalan.
  • Al-Lydd Airport, hit by a drone.
  • A vital target in the Ashdod area, struck by two drones.
  • A target in Yafa, also included in the operation.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, asserted that the drones successfully completed their missions amid the failure of Israeli and US air defenses.

Message to airlines

The statement further warned international airlines to suspend all flights to and from airports in occupied Palestine, asserting that these facilities would remain under continuous threat of attack.

“The Armed Forces will not bear responsibility for any consequences,” the statement read, urging companies to immediately suspend operations at airports within occupied territory.

Support for Gaza

Reaffirming Yemen’s stance, the Armed Forces said they will continue to escalate military operations in support of Gaza until the aggression ends and the blockade is lifted.

The statement addressed the Zionist leadership directly, warning that upcoming operations would expose the vulnerabilities of their defense systems.

“We have what it takes to hit your protection systems and sensitive targets, and the coming days, God willing, will reveal this to you,” the statement declared.
