Al-Qassam Claims Responsibility for Al-Quds Resistance Operation, Gaza Resistance Kills Zionist Forces

Al-Qassam claimed responsibility for a resistance operation in which seven settlers were killed and at least 21 others were injured in a shooting operation at the Ramot Junction in occupied al-Quds. Among the injured, five are said to be in a critical condition.

Reports indicated that the Palestinians who carried out the operation boarded a bus at the Ramot junction and opened fire on the passengers. Many genocidal settlers described the unfolding events as a “Black Monday” unleashed on the occupation.

One of the shooters was reportedly disguised as a police officer, as he boarded a bus and started shooting from point-blank range, Zionist media reported, citing eye-witnesses.

A makeshift “Carlo” submachine gun and a pistol were used in the operation, images from the scene revealed.

Reports noted that the shooters took advantage of a traffic jam at the junction, boarding a bus and shooting Zionist settlers before being shot dead.

This operation comes amid heightening Zionist violence in the West Bank, launching raid campaigns across Palestinian towns and villages of the West Bank and its refugee camps, arresting Palestinian youths with no formal charges, arbitrarily killing residents, and demolishing homes.

The Al-Qassam communique is published below:

With the help, strength, and success granted by Allah; the Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades announce their responsibility for the shooting operation that took place yesterday morning, Monday, 16 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to September 8, 2025, near the intersection of the “Ramot” settlement, which is built on the lands of our beloved Jerusalem. In this operation, our mujahideen managed to kill 7 zionists and injure others, some of whom sustained serious wounds, before ascending to their Lord, advancing and not retreating.

With all pride and honor, Al-Qassam Brigades announce to our great people and proud nation the martyrdom of:

The Al-Qassam fighter Martyr / Muthanna Naji Omar
And the Al-Qassam fighter Martyr / Muhammad Bassam Taha

The Brigades say to the cowardly occupier: “The qualitative operation that surprised you in time and place is a clear message that all your failed attempts to dry up the sources of resistance will only result in the shedding of the blood of your Nazi army’s soldiers and your criminal settlers from where you least expect it, and more than you imagine.”

Al-Qassam Brigades also emphasize the failure of all the occupation’s attempts to create a deterrent through collective punishment against our people, and that these desperate attempts will only be a fuse for a widespread explosion in its ugly face, and that its continuation of the war of genocide and aggression against holy sites, land, and people will be met with the steadfastness of the resilient people and the valiant resistance, by Allah’s will.

And it is a jihad of victory or martyrdom.

Shooting operation ‘natural response’ to Zionist crimes: Resistance factions

Following the shooting operation at the Ramot junction in northern Al-Quds that killed 7 settlers and wounded nearly 20, Palestinian resistance factions have uniformly praised the attack, framing it as a legitimate and necessary response to ongoing zionist policies and aggression across Palestine.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine lauded the “qualitative heroic operation,” emphasizing its professional execution “from point-blank range” in one of the most fortified areas of Al-Quds. The PFLP described the attack as a “strong blow deep inside the zionist entity,” sending a clear message that the occupation “will not enjoy peace on our land and will pay a heavy price for all its crimes.” Military spokesman Abu Jamal praised the operation on behalf of the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades.

Hamas blessed the attack as a “natural response” to the genocide war in Gaza. The movement stressed that the operation serves as a direct warning that plans to desecrate the Al-Aqsa Mosque “will not pass without punishment.” Hamas framed the attack as a strike against the occupation’s “security depth” and called on the “revolutionary youth” of the West Bank to escalate the confrontation.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad positioned the operation as a response to a wide array of “israeli” actions, including crimes in Gaza, the West Bank, and within the 1948 lands. Uniquely, the PIJ also linked the attack to the “policy of terrorism and starvation inside zionist prisons.” The movement condemned the “Arab and international silence and inaction” and called for an escalated response throughout all of Palestine. Its military wing, Saraya Al-Quds, issued a concise statement blessing the “heroic double shooting operation” as a natural and legitimate act.

The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement characterized the operation as a “message of fire from the free people of our nation.” They stated that the attack reflects a “growing state of revolution in Palestine” and serves as proof that the Palestinian people will not be broken. The movement reiterated its call to intensify strikes, asserting that the enemy “only understands the language of pikes and force.”

Fatah al-Intifada described the attack as a confirmation that resistance is alive and well, declaring that the “resistance and the rifle will remain drawn” in the face of the occupation. The group specifically highlighted the attack as a response to the desecration of holy sites and, notably, to the “decision by the occupation to annex the West Bank,” affirming that resistance is the “shield that protects the Palestinian people.”

The Popular Resistance Committees in Palestine (PRC) also blessed the operation, deeming it a legitimate response to a “war of genocide, ethnic cleansing,” and plans for annexation. The PRC emphasized that the attack proves the “accumulated and complex failure of the zionist security and military system.” The group directed a specific message to Israeli society, stating that “the criminal Netanyahu and his gang are leading you to doom and destruction” and that there can be “no safety or stability” for them while massacres continue. Finally, they asserted that “between Ramot and Ramon, the zionist illusions of security and false victory are dissipating” and called on fighters everywhere to “set our land on fire under the feet of the usurping zionists.”

Gaza operations continue unabated

Four occupation soldiers were killed in what Zionist media described as a “tough incident” in the Gaza Strip, in confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance.

According to the Zionist news site Hadashot Bazman, the four soldiers, who were from an armored corps unit, were killed by an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza.

The report added that at dawn, fighters detonated an explosive device against a tank crew in the Jabalia area, subsequently opening fire on the tank and its commander, setting it on fire, and killing its crew members. Zionist media reported helicopters landing at Eikolov hospital, transporting casualties from Gaza.

The operation comes in parallel with a shooting operation carried out in occupied al-Quds in which 7 settlers were killed.

Ongoing operations

This comes as the Palestinian Resistance continues to confront occupation forces’ incursion into Gaza, in a bid to occupy Gaza City.

According to the group’s statement, which detailed an operation that took place near Salah al-Din Mosque and al-Zaytoun Clinic, fighters confirmed the strike, which was carried out on August 31, only after returning from the frontlines.

The al-Qassam further recalled that on August 30, its fighters, using a Yassin-105 shell and a Shawaz explosive device on Street 8 southwest of al-Zaytoun, struck a Merkava tank and a D9 military bulldozer.

Al-Qassam has also expanded coordination with the al-Quds Brigade, the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Together, they have conducted joint attacks on Zionist command posts in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Gaza City, using mortars, anti-tank missiles, and improvised explosive devices.

Zionist military sources have acknowledged the growing effectiveness of Palestinian resistance tactics, noting that Hamas fighters have become “more organized in combat” and increasingly bold in confronting occupation forces.
