Assumption of Responsibility
by Sagre Nero Team
We do not live in the era of the junta but we live in the junta of our time. In recent years, and even more so in the last six years, the criminal organization of New Democracy has been governing the country with monarchy and authoritarian tactics. Between political scandals and state crimes, it “instrumentalizes” security to sell fear to the people. Its main argument in trying to collect a small vote is prisons and the harshest repression.
In the ostensibly “penitentiary” prisons of the country and in the otherwise blind and independent judiciary that decides who will become an inmate and who will not, their criteria are not the proof of guilt but the ideological position, the wallet, the color of the skin, the party contacts and the organized clique to which some belong.
It is clear that the Greek courts are anything but incorruptible. Every day, the hundreds of trials that take place in the country aim to repress and intimidate citizens. For the majority of people, exhausting laws, mass detentions and unreasonable sentences have made the situation in the country’s prisons unbearable and inhumane, culminating in the repressive resolutions of New Democracy such as the new penal code and the abolition of all acquired rights of prisoners.
The way this machine is oiled with corruption and rules, i.e. with big lawyers and state visas, so that the obvious happens, such as the clearing of a decision, the timely holding of a second instance court. In addition, the non-oiled benches do not recognize any mitigating circumstances as to the defendants as well as no presumption of innocence. In contrast to the minions that make up the party body of each government, the “law” of impunity applies with typical examples that the whole world knows, but we cannot fail to refer to them. The crime in Tempi is the biggest cover-up of a criminal organization that has ever existed in the country. The OPEKEPE scandal, Siemens as well as Mitsotakis’ friends Lignadis and Phillipidis rapists with misdemeanors who enjoy their perverted freedom.
The modern hellholes that are called penitentiaries are warehouses of souls where thousands of people are piled up in miserable conditions. The problems are many and need immediate solutions. We will refer to some of the most important ones. Overcrowding: inside the walls makes everyday life a difficult struggle for survival, whether in cells or in wards the prisoners are far above the human limit. Health: is one of the most vital issues that a prisoner has to deal with as he experiences first-hand the decline and indifference of the state. Shortages of permanent doctors, medicines, prisoners with communicable diseases, heart patients, the elderly and people with disabilities are stacked in the same wards without any special treatment. Shortages of medicines and their non-immediate transport to hospitals come to complement the brutal daily life. Permits: the limit of leaves is becoming less and less, with the result that prisoners are entitled to leave at the end of their sentence. This act is of a vindictive nature and in no way punitive. Secretarial support: a daily problem is bureaucracy, lack of staff, the indifference of employees to legal issues lead the prisoners to poverty. These, combined with the dirt, the abandonment of the building facilities and of course the disappearance of funds, come to compose a huge humanitarian bomb in all the prisons of the country, more powerful than the one we placed in the house of the torturer Kostas Varsamis.
Kostas Varsamis, a senior torturer guard, is the father of prison officers with the sole aim of vengeful torture of prisoners. It is no coincidence that governments and political figures change while he remains in his position. His authoritarian mentality, his indifference and his goal to take revenge on the prisoners are characteristics that the state bastards agree with and all the prisoners oppose. The tactics he uses, the way he moves contribute decisively to the torture of prisoners. The countless disciplinary measures that he generously distributes at the slightest thing, the prohibitions of material goods. The deaths of prisoners in disciplinary proceedings, the cold, the miserable food, the lack of open visiting rooms, the loudspeakers that constantly disrupt the mental health of prisoners are daily tactics of a torturer who in the past, holding batons, beat prisoners until they fainted. He tries to pass the same mentality in a newer version to his employees whom he treats as tools. To think that they are superior to the prisoners and that they can have absolute power over them, it is no coincidence that his circle is also made up of the worst scumbags who work scattered in prisons across the country and in higher administrative positions. It is obvious that we will not mention the names of others because we may also have planned visits to their homes and not only. Those who follow and accept the views and tactics of the torturer Varsamis, and therefore the criminal policy implemented by New Democracy through this press, are against us and are a target.
Finally, we want to emphasize that prisoners are normal people and not just numbers in four walls, they are never alone and abandoned in the hands of the state! We chose this particular bastard to start a series of new attacks on directors, sergeants, employees, judicial officers and bodies related to laws and prisons. The prisons are boiling, it is time to stop the impoverishment and the repressive mechanism with attacks, uprisings, riots and all forms of struggle inside and outside the prisons.
P.S. Cops, journalists, columnists and other talkers, continue to write and tell such funny stories and the axe will fall heavily on you as well..
