UK: Pro-Palestinian Prisoner T Hoxha Suspends Hunger Strike

An activist imprisoned in the so-called “Filton 24” case for an action against the main Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems, Teuta Hoxha was on hunger strike to denounce her prison conditions while she has been in detention for nine months without trial. After 28 days, she has just announced the suspension of her hunger strike this Sunday, September 7. Her determination allowed her to win several of her demands: restoration of her leisure activities, receipt of withheld mail, and confirmation that her job at the library has been eliminated following the banning of Palestine Action. Her struggle was notably supported by hunger strikes in solidarity by pro-Palestinian prisoners in the United States, such as Casey Goonan and Malik Farrad Muhammad.
