The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine affirms that the Zionist enemy parliament’s approval, in its preliminary reading, of the bill “Applying Israeli Sovereignty” to lands in the occupied West Bank represents a new aggression against the Palestinian existence and a dangerous escalation within the ongoing system of crimes by the occupation aimed at seizing and Judaizing the land.
This decision represents a condensed expression of what is actually taking place in the occupied West Bank: comprehensive control and systematic aggression targeting the land, the people, and their identity. This policy entrenches the policy of settlement expansion, Judaization, and destruction, and opens the door to further crimes and violations against our people.
This Zionist decision comes in the context of grave violations of international law and United Nations resolutions and constitutes a blatant challenge to the will of the international community. This requires urgent international intervention to confront it and impose an immediate halt to all Zionist measures and plans aimed at annexing the West Bank or changing its character and identity, given a clear American green light.
The Front affirms that the occupied West Bank will remain Palestinian and an integral and indivisible part of the Palestinian homeland. The occupation will not be able to undermine this truth, deeply rooted in the land and in the consciousness of our people, who confront the occupation with their will and steadfastness.
The West Bank, with its people, its resistance fighters, and their deep roots in their land, will dispel the illusions of the Zionist criminals and will remain a thorn in the side of all settlement, Judaization, and annexation projects.
