ELN Denies News from the US Government

The National Liberation Army does not have and will not have any vessels linked to drug trafficking activities, neither in the Caribbean nor in any other sea, simply because it is prohibited for its militants and structures to get involved in any of the links of this phenomenon.

Throughout its history, the ELN has maintained a commitment to the fight against drug trafficking, therefore it has no crops, no laboratories, nor runways or transportation or distribution routes in the country or internationally.

Because we have maintained a critical stance and ethical coherence, we have been victims of operations by the DEA and CIA to try to make it appear that we are involved in drug trafficking, but they have failed. They have captured people who have nothing to do with the ELN and who themselves have induced these activities to carry out their setups, but they are nothing more than that.

Our proposal to establish an International Commission to verify the certainty of our policy of not getting involved with this phenomenon remains valid.

Furthermore, we are always open to working on proposals to overcome drug trafficking with the participation of society.
