HBDH – “We carried out 139 actions in 2022”

The Executive Committee of the People’s United Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) said, “As HBDH militia, we carried out 139 actions in 2022 within the scope of our revolutionary mobilization campaign ‘We Will Destroy Fascism, We Will Win Freedom’.”

From their written statement, “In 2022, our revolutionary war against fascism has reached much more serious dimensions, while at the same time the hope and strength we carry has grown even more among our peoples. While 2022 was a year in which fascism further increased its invasion attacks, labor exploitation, dispossession and massacres, it was a year of fighting without any despair and frustration for us. The real results of the flag that we have carried persistently and faithfully from the day we were founded until today have made itself felt more and more every day. That reality is that our peoples, youth, women and all the oppressed are fighting against fascism under the honorable banner of the united revolution. The guerrillas of the united revolution who fought at the cost of their lives against chemical weapons in the Medya Defense Areas and all those who raised the struggle in the streets and our militias targeting the institutions, components, economic and military structures of fascism have intertwined with a stronger unity. In 2022, the working class resisted, the women won, the youth built barricades, the militias struck… and it was the united revolutionary war that won. For this reason, in every action we have carried out, there is the signature of our people and the faith of our militias.”

HBDH added the following: “The year 2022 was a year in which the lavish lives of the fascist AKP-MHP government and its supporters were exposed day by day. And again, the year 2022 was engraved in history as a year in which the occupation attacks and the united revolution were targeted for liquidation. While the bloodthirsty fascist government once again issued death edicts to the Kurdish people, it wanted to imprison Alevis, defended the rape of women, and tried with all its might to take away the future of young people. Poverty and unemployment grew and grew. Strikes were banned. People were brought to the point where they could not even buy bread. Worker deaths were once again wanted to be forgotten as “it is in the nature of this work!”. Calculations were made for the invasion of Rojava. And many more fascist attacks and hypocrisy were engraved in the memory of our working people this year. In the face of these attacks, the HBDH militia targeted the fascist enemy in every field. Policemen, guards, executives of the fascist party, bosses and whoever supports fascism; they all became the natural and legitimate target of us. The fascists, who were waiting for their turn to come, could not hide their fear. As each of our actions was dedicated to our people, we took the names of revolutionaries who fought for the people. We asked for an account, we made them pay the price.”

“Now the wheel of history is beginning to turn to the right and just. From now on, not the fascists who think they are strong, but the righteous will win. Workers, labourers, the oppressed will win,” stated HBDH and concluded as follows:

“HBDH faces the challenging tasks of history. Our belief in realising these historical tasks and missions is also complete. We will expand the actions we carried out in 2022 in 2023, we will win!”

In the statement, the list of actions carried out in the last year was also published. These include actions against police, soldiers and guards, sabotage of oil pipelines, pro-AKP-MHP workplaces, factories and vehicles.
