From all regions of the country they demand the freedom of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores

Popular power defends direct projects executed in times of Revolution.

In a massive demonstration of popular force, thousands of men and women belonging to the more than 5,000 communes in the country gathered this Wednesday on Sucre Avenue and Alí Primera Park in the capital, with the aim of denouncing the “kidnapping” of the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady, Cilia Flores, by foreign powers.

During the day, the leaders of the Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCh) and various community spokespersons raised their voices to reject the violation of national sovereignty and international law. The protesters denounced alleged physical abuse against Representative Cilia Flores, blaming the imperial interests of the United States directly.

Among the opinions of the attendees, Carmen Gutiérrez highlighted the role of Venezuelan women as the backbone of the Bolivarian Revolution. “We are filled with pride by the gallantry of Cilia Flores, who together with President Maduro, stands up with high morals in the face of incompetent courts.” Likewise, the citizen expressed that the commune movement has allowed us to reaffirm the commitment to the feminist homeland bequeathed by Commander Hugo Chávez.

“They did not take a ruler, but a leader,” says popular power.

Next, representing the La Candelaria parish, Ismael Fernández, commune spokesperson, emphasized that the people remain in “permanent mobilization” following the instructions of the Executive to guarantee peace and economic stability. “They didn’t take a simple ruler, they took a leader. The government of Venezuela is all of us in the communities,” he stated.

This mobilization in support of President Nicolás Maduro and the first combatant Cilia Flores has added a massive national force with the arrival of delegations from all over the country. Spokesmen from the states of La Guaira and Guárico joined the columns of protesters in Caracas, demanding that the United States Government immediately release the president and denouncing what they described as an arbitrary detention.

From the streets, the commune members defend the right to be a free nation.

That is why, under the slogan “Hold on, your people love you”, Cristofer Lugo, representative of Puerta del Llano, highlighted that “they did not take a simple ruler, they took a leader. The true Government is in the communities and commune members who are on the streets today,” declared a spokesperson for the Revolutionary Commune in Libertad (Guárico).

In the opinion of the contingent from the state of La Guaira, Pedro Morales made a direct call to the US administration, demanding the cessation of hostilities. The protesters assured that the “commune army” is prepared to guarantee the economic and food stability of the nation while the head of state is absent.

The day is a reflection of civil-military and popular unity. “We will be in the streets as long as necessary,” warned the commune leaders, who emphasized that the sovereignty of Venezuela resides in its organized people.

Organized popular power from across the country is concentrated in Caracas for sovereignty.

Attendees recalled that, under Maduro’s management, Popular Power has managed to execute direct infrastructure and service projects that were denied for decades. Representatives of the communes assured that the current persecution responds to a war for oil and assured that, under the leadership of the acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, the country will continue to advance in the Seven Transformations plan (7T).

The mobilization concluded with a call to the international community to “turn its eyes to Venezuela” and recognize the resistance of a people who, they assure, will not rest until they achieve the return of their constitutional leader.
