Struggle and Resistance Against Imperialism

The aggression of the United States against Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro; beyond the invasion of a country, it faces the autonomy and legitimacy of the peoples against the interference of imperialism, which resorts to false causes to justify its atrocities.

The American empire has always been bold in building a narrative around democracy and freedom, however, this is nothing more than a fallacy, all its actions – covert and direct – are framed in the Monroe Doctrine – America for the Americans (read USA) – which is nothing more than the imperial vision of Uncle Sam who considers the other nations – especially the Latin American ones – as colonies that belong to him and that therefore, no other power can take advantage of their “right” to dominate them and exploit their natural resources.

What began with a siege of vessels stationed in international waters near the Venezuelan coasts quickly became a planned operation to invade Venezuela, escalating into an attack by the U.S. military that bombed installations, killed civilians, and kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro.

This blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of nations, cynically endorsed and justified by some pro-imperialist journalists and politicians, is not an action for freedom; it is a military maneuver aimed at gaining control of Venezuela’s coveted oil and challenging the dominance of Latin America by powers such as Russia and China, which have been entering the region’s geopolitics over the past decade and challenging the hegemony of the decadent American empire.

Once again, the American empire has intensified its operation to try to elevate its declining hegemony, and in this sense it tries to recover what Uncle Sam assumes as its Backyard, in that context, no nation that opposes or interferes with its imperial interests is safe from the imperial claw.

Jaime Garzón announced: “The gringos have a tail of a donkey and a dusty nose, and in addition to sticking their nose in everything now, they want to stick their nose in our ranch; it may be made of straw, but it is as dignified as the sweat of the oppressed people. “Behind every narcodemocracy is a narcoimperialism.”

The most questionable and deplorable thing about the frequent “soft” and military incursions of the United States into sovereign nations is that it eliminates in one fell swoop the inalienable right to life, international law, and the self-determination of peoples, in addition to exposing the decadence and inoperability of multilateral entities such as the UN and the OAS, which “look the other way” and do nothing more than make languid statements that are a “salute to the flag,” but that in the background, legitimize and applaud the interference of the North American empire.

The United States is the greatest representative of terrorism in the modern era, and it is up to the people’s struggle to remove its mask, to end the plans of Uncle Sam, which implicitly defend the people’s leadership and prevent its extermination, and this can only be stopped if we make a real break with the necrophilic regime, which is only possible through the organized and frontal struggle of the excluded, of the large social groups of popular ancestry, to build a change with social equity.

It is imperative that we all, without any distinction of class or political affiliation, become the independent voice that calls for the unity of Los Nadie, not only in Colombia but throughout Latin America, not only to defend Venezuela, but to reject imperialist interference and to respect the freedom and autonomy of the peoples; we must not forget that today they attack Venezuela, but in the future they will come for us; we must be clear that Uncle Sam has no friends, he has geopolitical and geostrategic interests and based on them he moves his pieces and his troops.
