Marcos Martín Ponce, an anti-fascist prisoner with GRAPO (First of October Anti-Fascist Resistance Groups) serving a life sentence, began an indefinite hunger strike on February 23 to protest the Spanish authorities’ refusal to guarantee appropriate medical care for anti-fascist prisoner María José Baños Andújar.
