Basque communist prisoner Daniel Pastor Alonso has announced he will join the weekly hunger strikes begun by several inmates at the A Lama prison in solidarity with María José Baños Andújar, who is seriously ill and incarcerated at Centro Penitenciario de Murcia II. These actions, in which prisoners linked to GRAPO and the PCE(r) are participating, aim to denounce her conditions of detention and demand her immediate release, accusing the authorities of maintaining a punitive policy against her.
