Resistance Ambush Foils Zionist Landing – Radwan Force Leads Major Clash in Lebanon

Heavy fighting erupted across multiple fronts in Lebanon overnight after resistance fighters reportedly ambushed zionist forces attempting a helicopter landing operation in eastern Lebanon.

According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, zionist helicopters carried out a landing attempt near the town of Nabi Sheet, in the eastern Bekaa region.

The zionist force reportedly fell into an ambush prepared by resistance fighters, triggering intense clashes involving small and medium weapons fire.

Shortly before the operation, three zionist helicopters were seen landing in the Syrian mountain area opposite the Lebanese border, the correspondent reported.

Residents reported hearing heavy machine-gun fire and anti-aircraft weapons as the helicopters passed overhead.

Occupation aircraft also carried out intense “fire belts” of airstrikes around Nabi Sheet, apparently providing air cover for the attempted operation.

However, the unfolding events suggested that the zionist force encountered fierce resistance on the ground.

According to Al Mayadeen, the occupation troops became trapped in the ambush, prompting heavy aerial bombardment and sustained firefights.

Later reports indicated that the security incident in Nabi Sheet had ended, though details about casualties or the fate of the zionist unit were not immediately clear.

Fierce Clashes in Khiam

At the same time, a second front opened in southern Lebanon, where intense ground clashes were reported in the town of Khiam, near the border with northern Palestine.

Zionist media reported direct confrontations between Israeli forces and Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit.

According to the reports, the Radwan fighters used Kornet anti-tank missiles alongside explosive devices to block troop movements.

Occupation outlets described the fighting as ongoing and intense.

One report said that “heavy exchanges of fire” were taking place between zionist roops and Radwan fighters inside the town.

Another zionist report described the situation as “a very difficult security event in Lebanon.”

Some zionist media accounts suggested that the Israeli army was struggling to extract a special force unit trapped during the clashes.

In parallel with the ground battles, Israeli artillery began shelling multiple towns in southern Lebanon.

According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, artillery targeted Taybeh, Adaisseh, Khiam, and Kfar Kila as fighting intensified along the border.

Zionist aircraft also carried out an airstrike on the town of Rayhan in southern Lebanon, the correspondent reported.

Airstrikes and Artillery

The clashes unfolded amid broader zionist military activity across Lebanon overnight.

Zionist warplanes conducted heavy bombardment near Nabi Sheet earlier in the evening, which Al Mayadeen’s correspondent said appeared to signal preparations for a military operation in the area.

Following the ambush, helicopters reportedly carried out intense aerial sweeping fire across the region.

At the same time, zionist artillery and machine-gun fire accompanied troop movements near Khiam, suggesting an attempt to advance into the town or reinforce units already engaged in battle.

Occupation media reports confirmed that a direct strike hit the Israeli settlement of Metula, with a large explosion reported.

Meanwhile, zionist outlets warned that the night could mark the beginning of further escalation across the northern front.

One zionist report described the situation bluntly, saying “a difficult night in the Middle East” was unfolding, with “many nights like this yet to come.”
