Jordanian intelligence forces (and secret police) conduct a large-scale arrest campaign against activists in Jordan over posts denouncing the permission for American bases in the country to continue participation in the aggression against Iran. Any person opening his mouth to speak is abducted by the police-state regime.
Among the arrested people were activists Osama Zain Al-Din and Dr. Omar Awad, members of the Jordanian Communist Party. The JCP has taken a radically patriotic and anti-imperialist stance since the start of the war, showing absolute support for Palestine and the resistance, and opposition to comprador politics of Jordan.
The JCP still carries a historical weight of leading the West Bank resistance for decades when its leadership was exiled to Amman, once strongly supported by socialist president/PM (Nabulsi) who was ousted by the monarch only months after assuming the presidency of Jordan. The JCP (and PCP) have been victims of Jordanian prisons for a century now.
