Spokesman for Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah, Abu Mujahid Assaf:
“The war initiated by the American enemy will not end except at our hands, and we will impose our conditions before we cease fire. Chief among them is that no foreign soldier remains in Iraq from north to south. We will not allow them to possess any weapons, aircraft, or air defenses on our land, except what may be permitted within their private institutions—which will be dealt with later. If they refuse to relinquish those weapons, we will seize their souls with God’s help.
We reaffirm decisively that no new government will see the light without the fingerprint of the Islamic resistance, regardless of who agrees or disagrees. Accordingly, we state the following:
First: The deadline granted to the American embassy of evil will be extended by five more days. We will deal with the enemy’s violations accordingly and inform the mediator of how we will respond to those violations, including what happened in Beirut’s southern suburb.
Second: We see no benefit in targeting the Iraqi intelligence service at this time. However, its leadership must intensify efforts to reassess the loyalty and patriotism of its officers. We have information that a large number of officers are linked to the Mossad and the Americans, along with other officers who form more than 70% of the agency’s structure and maintain close working ties with the American enemy and Emirati and Jordanian intelligence. These individuals are being exploited to provide major services to the enemy against our people. As for the remaining Shia officers, most are overpowered in their positions. It is regrettable that many American attacks against our sons in the Popular Mobilization Forces would not have succeeded without the tracking provided by those traitors.
Third: Our message to certain political leaders who denounce the Iraqi resistance’s operations against American criminals violating Iraq’s sovereignty, while issuing deceptive statements condemning the targeting of Popular Mobilization sites: the people know you well—your actions, affiliations, and sources of funding. Do not go too far against the free people of this country and its families. It is unacceptable for the promiscuous to preach about chastity and honor.
Fourth: The weapons of the resistance are the weapons of the people, the honor and dignity of the nation, and a trust in the hands of the fighters. We will not allow traitors and agents—those who do not understand honor—to speak about these weapons or those who carry them. Let those who wish to understand do so.
