A solidarity evening is being organized for April 18 at L’Écurie in support of anarchists arrested in Barcelona following the May 1, 2023 demonstrations. Twelve individuals were detained, and ten now face trial for aggravated public disorder—charges brought under a 2022 reform to the Penal Code—carrying potential prison sentences of up to eight years and collective claims for damages exceeding 500,000 euros. Against this backdrop, the organizers are calling for international mobilization through an event featuring information on the case, solidarity concerts, and food service, aimed at providing both financial and political support to those facing prosecution.
