TKP-ML KKB Commemorated Those Immortalized for the Revolution

KKB organized an event commemorating women and LGBTI+ immortals on the occasion of the “Week of Commemoration of the Martyrs of Revolution and Communism”. The presentation made in Arabic and Kurdish began with “Comrades, we are gathered here today to commemorate women and LGBTI+ martyrs. I invite you all to a minute of silence in the memory of Rosa Luxemburg, the immortal leader of all women in the world, Maria Suphi, the first communist woman martyr of the Middle East, and Meral Yakar, the first woman martyr of our Party.” After the international anthem and the minute of silence, the declaration signed by TKP-ML MK was read.

Pointing out that while women and LGBTI+s fight against the enemy, they also struggle within their own organizations, the presentation said, “Sometimes our name is lost in patriarchal history, just like Maria Suphi for years. They tell us that you cannot fight, but just like İsyan Tolhildana Pirsus, we fight on the front lines until the last moment we are martyred. As Sakine Cansız stated, our lives are always a fight.”

After the cinevision screening of the women immortals, a speech was made on behalf of KKB. In this speech, it was emphasized that those who became immortal were butterflies who dared to fly to the fire and said, “As women and LGBTI+ people, there are those among us who dare to learn the truth of fire. However, we have not yet really learned the fire of struggle.

This system always tells us that we can’t do it, we can’t do it, leaving us without arms and wings. In such a situation, of course, it is even more difficult to fly into the fire of struggle. But we can do it, our immortalized ones have shown us that we can do it.”

After the speech made on behalf of KKB, everyone took the floor and talked about the lives of women immortals one by one. In a speech about Lubunya martyrs, “Of course, it is even more difficult to enter the revolutionary struggle in a reality where even our existence is denied. However, we have always been in this fight. As our leader Rosa Luxemburg stated, we existed, we exist, we will exist. The formula for immortality has been sought for as long as humanity has existed. This is the formula for immortality. To be martyred in the cause of freedom and liberation means to be immortalized. Because today, whenever we are in trouble, whenever we stumble, whenever we have difficulty in breaking our ties with the system, it is our martyrs who take us by the hand and lift us up.”

After the narration of the lives of the immortals, the commemoration event ended with the words “We will not let the flags of our martyrs fall to the ground. We will raise the flag we took over from them to the highest sky. We promise in front of all our martyrs, we will continue their struggle until victory.”

In Arabic and Kurdish, slogans such as “Long Live Our Party TKP-ML, Led by TIKKO, KKB, TMLGB”, “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” and “Revolutionary Martyrs are Immortal” was chanted. After the commemoration event, women and lubunyas sang the song of Comrade Ibrahim together.
