From Jabalia to occupied Askalan
In a related context, al-Qassam Brigades launched a salvo of rockets toward the occupied city of Askalan, in retaliation for the massacres against civilians, from the area where Zionist incursions east of Jabalia camp are taking place.
The Brigades also renewed the shelling of Sderot in response to the massacres against civilians in Gaza, with Zionist media reporting the sounding of sirens in the settlement and the Gaza Envelope.
Zionist accounts on social media circulated videos of explosions in the settlements of Sderot and Nahal Oz following the launch of rockets from Gaza.
50 occupation troops wounded in Gaza in the past 24 hours
This comes as the occupation military admitted to 50 of its troops being injured in 24 hours in the Gaza Strip.
The military also confirmed that Brig. Gen. Yogev Bar Sheshet, the Security Ministry’s deputy comptroller for the security establishment, was moderately wounded by shrapnel from gunfire in Gaza City.
Occupation media confirmed that Bar Sheshet was fighting with the Nahal Infantry Brigade chief’s forward command team in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood when he was injured by a bullet that penetrated his shoulder. He was then transported to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.
According to the media, Bar Sheshet is considered the highest-ranking officer to be injured during battles with the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
Zionist media reported that a military helicopter landed in the northern Gaza Strip to evacuate the casualties.
It should be noted that the regime does not report its casualties accurately, and hides the true figures.
Hezbollah reveals new rocket
The Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah announced on Sunday that it had targeted several occupation sites along the border with occupied Palestine, revealing the use of a new heavy rocket as part of its operations named “Jihad Mughniyeh”, in reference to the martyr Jihad Mughniyeh, son of renowned leader martyr Imad Mughniyeh.
The Resistance announced that its fighters, at 7:35 pm, targeted with anti-tank guided missiles the surveillance equipment at the al-Malikiyah site, confirming a direct hit.
Significantly, and for the first time, the Resistance introduced the new heavy rockets dubbed “Jihad Mughniyeh”, which it employed in one of its operations.
In a statement, the Islamic Resistance announced that its fighters targeted at 4:25 pm a military gathering near the Zebdine site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms with several “Jihad Mughniyeh” rockets, achieving direct hits.
In the afternoon, the Resistance targeted at 2:10 pm a military vehicle carrying surveillance equipment, as well as other technical equipment at the Hounin barracks (Ramim) using guided missiles, confirming the destruction of the vehicle and equipment.
Resistance factions highlight importance of the struggle
The Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, reiterated during a meeting with secretaries of Palestinian factions in Syria on Sunday the commitment of the Palestinian Resistance to continue fighting until victory.
“We will remain under occupation if we do not fight the enemy,” he stressed.
Elsewhere in his remarks, al-Nakhalah emphasized that the ongoing battle in Gaza represents an unprecedented challenge for both the Palestinian people and their Resistance.
“Gaza is a test for us all, and for our people, which is suffering from occupation and forced displacement,” he stated.
However, he assured, “Our people are fighting in Gaza as they have never fought before, enemy is also facing a Resistance it has never faced before”.
Furthermore, he described the ongoing confrontation as an opportunity for all those fighting against the Zionist axis, and underscored that resisting the enemy remains the only path to liberation from occupation.
“The war on Gaza is an opportunity for all those fighting against the Zionist axis,” he affirmed.
He concluded by saying, “The path of Resistance is the best, despite all the sacrifices given by our people.”
In the same context, al-Nakhalah said during an interview for Khamenei.ir on April 13 that through Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the resilient retaliation of the Resistance against the Zionist incursions into the Gaza Strip, “we have made significant progress toward the moment of final victory,” while the occupation is retreating.
At the time, al-Nakhalah stressed that the Resistance today stands firm in its bid to impose its conditions, refusing to accept the conditions of the occupation. He announced that the Resistance has prepared for a long-term confrontation in the event that the occupation does not accept a ceasefire as per the demands of the Resistance, stating, “We will continue to resist with the same level of performance.”
In a separate statement PIJ’s deputy chief Mohammad al-Hindi told the Palestine Today news site tha, “the occupation […] is stuck in the mud of Gaza,” and that the “barbaric Zionist bombardment of the Gaza Strip” will “not secure any of the occupation’s goals.”
Al-Hindi held the United States responsible for the ongoing genocidal war and the recently launched ground offensive against Rafah.
He said that “Washington’s statements are a green light for the occupation army to continue its aggression,” especially the invasion of Rafah,” he said.
On the negotiations, the top official said that the Resistance has shown flexibility in negotiations, pointing out that it had agreed to a phased withdrawal of the occupation forces from the Strip. However, he added, it was the regime that rejected the proposal on the basis that exiting Gaza would “leave Hamas intact”.
The Popular Front also released a statement about the regimes’ tribulations in Gaza:
The zionist army is drowning in the quagmire of Gaza and paying the price for Netanyahu’s narrow political interests.
The Popular Front holds the US administration fully responsible for the continued closure of crossings and escalation of aggression.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine holds the US administration and the international community fully responsible for the continued closure of crossings, intensifying shelling in various areas of the Strip, and forcing refugees once again to flee to unsafe areas under bombardment and gunfire.
The Front emphasizes that the recent statements by American officials regarding the occupation’s operations in Rafah confirm high-level coordination between the US administration and the Zionist entity, especially regarding the plan to occupy the Rafah crossing and close the crossings, exacerbating the humanitarian situation as a means of pressure on the resistance.
The Front warns of the catastrophic consequences of the continued closure of crossings, especially the Rafah crossing, amid severe shortages of relief supplies and medical supplies due to the non-entry of relief convoys into the Strip for several days.
The Front affirms that the return of the zionist army to invade areas it had previously invaded, such as Jabalia and Zaytoun, despite claiming to have cleared them of resistance, indicates disagreements between the military and political levels, as expressed by the Chief of Staff of the zionist army, Halevi, when he repeatedly interpreted “the army’s return to work in places where work had been done due to the lack of any political horizon”, confirming that the zionist army is drowning in the quagmire of Gaza, hoping for severe losses and failing to achieve any field accomplishments on the ground, and that it is paying the price for Netanyahu’s narrow political interests.
The Front also warns of the deceitful methods practiced by the occupation to pass its upcoming crimes in Rafah, when it classified neighborhoods in the center of Rafah city as the Shaboura and Yabna Camps and included them within the areas located east of the city that must be evacuated, which is a prelude to committing massacres against the citizens and displaced in these neighborhoods.
The Front concluded its statement by affirming that the moment of truth is approaching for the war criminal Netanyahu and his war council gang and his defeated army; they are on the verge of a strategic defeat drawn by our heroic resistance fighters in various confrontation axes from the far north of the Strip to its south, with its other landmarks and details.
