Today, we are celebrating one of the most glorious victories in the history of the peoples of the Middle East, the anniversary of the Rojava Revolution, which flourished in the lands of Northern and Eastern Syria and has now come to fruition! This revolution was written on the stage of history with resistance and dignity as the symbol of the struggle for freedom and equality, the resistance and victory of women. This revolutionary spark ignited in the lands of Rojava grew with the courage, determination and resistance of women and reached today.
The brave women of Rojava stood up against centuries of patriarchal oppression and took their destiny into their own hands. The Women‘s Protection Units (YPJ) became the vanguard of the revolution, not only on the battlefield against the enemy, but in every corner of social life. These women defied the dark pages of history and waved the flag of freedom and equality. They inspired the peoples of the world with their resistance on the battlefields and showed the power of women to the whole world. As KBDH, we reiterate once again that we will protect and grow the Rojava Women‘s Revolution and continue to fight to give hope to the peoples of the world.
The Rojava Revolution showed the power and will of women to the whole world. Here, women not only demanded equal rights, but became pioneers in rebuilding society and shaping a free future. The women of Rojava laid the foundation for a new life in their struggle for gender equality, freedom and justice. The revolution came to life and took root under the leadership of women.
This revolution proved that women are not only warriors, but also architects of peace, democracy and justice. They had a say in local councils, co–operatives, schools, and everywhere; Thus, in Rojava, the voice of women echoed at the heart of social life. This revolution is a major step towards achieving gender equality. The emancipation of women is the key to the emancipation of society, and Rojava has been an example that brings this reality to life.
The Rojava Revolution also revealed the power of women‘s organization and struggle. Women defended their right to self–determination by establishing their self–organization in all areas. The Rojava Women‘s Revolution created a democratic and participatory social structure by ensuring women‘s equal representation and effectiveness in decision–making processes. He created a model for equal and free life not only for women, but also for peoples of various faiths and nationalities living in the territory of North and East Syria. Revolutionaries from all over the world both witnessed this war and became a gateway to the world from this land. Greetings to all our comrades who were a part of the revolution, who threw even the smallest piece of wood into this fire, whom we sent off to immortality or who are alive!
However, we women know most of all that these victories are not easily won. In this whole process, we paid a great price and gave heroic martyrs. Today, it is our greatest responsibility to keep their memory alive, honor their legacy, and maintain their revolutionary spirit. We will continue our struggle to realize their dreams and build a free and equal society. If we, women, have been at the forefront of the revolution at every stage and have continued this struggle with great sacrifices, no one should doubt that we will be the foremost fedayeen of the Rojava Revolution from now on.
Today, reactionary fascist male–dominated forces, especially the Turkish state, are trying all kinds of attacks to break this revolutionary spirit of Rojava and the women who protect it. If Erdogan, the head of the fascist government, extends a ‘peace stick‘ to Assad, whom he called “the murderer Assad” yesterday, it is because his primary purpose is that he could not eliminate militarily, could not get the reward for the occupation attacks he made continuous, and could not suffocate the Rojava Revolution. The Turkish state, which yesterday tried to destroy our revolution, destroy our achievements, and condemn us women to the dark corridors of history by joining hands with the Syrian regime, which it was hostile to, will not be able to achieve these goals. Because they should know that this fire will not go out! The women of Rojava will never give up their struggle for freedom and dignity. The gains of our revolution will be preserved and carried forward despite all the attacks. Women‘s struggle for freedom and equality will be strengthened by resistance against oppression.
The Rojava Revolution is a hope that inspires the women of the world. This hope will continue to shine like a light tearing through the darkness of oppression. On the anniversary of our revolution, we call on all the women of the world to stand in solidarity with the women of Rojava in their struggle for freedom! The women of Rojava defend not only their own freedom, but also the freedom of all women in the world. Therefore, the solidarity and support of the women of the world is vital to the success of our revolution.
Today, on the anniversary of the Rojava Revolution, we once again call on the oppressed working women of the world to fight for freedom, equality and justice and to stand in solidarity with the Rojava Revolution. The women of Rojava set out to build a new world and continue to move forward on this path with determination. The light of the Rojava Revolution will guide the struggles of the women of the world.
