On Saturday, September 28, a day of commemoration for Claudia López was held in the square that bears her name in the town of La Pincoya. The activity featured music, dance, theater, poetry and an anarchic fair. When disseminating, the following words were written:
“Commemorative activity. Claudia López, 26 years after your murder, your fire continues to accompany us.
Anarchic memory is living memory and in every barricade and action we continue the actions of comrade Claudia López, an anarchist and dance student cowardly murdered in the back at the hands of the police on September 11, 1998.
Because the struggle continues against all oppression, 26 years later we remember the compañera with the fire and all the expressions of creativity that antagonistically dispute the narrative imposed by the state and capital. Your insurrectionary dance illuminates every barricade!”
