The Current Situation on the Southern Lebanese Border Front with Occupied Palestine

For 35 days since the start of the ground offensive on the frontline villages at the border with occupied Palestine, the zionist occupation forces have failed to establish a foothold in any of the towns they entered with the aim of full control, ending resistance, and pushing it away from the south of the Litani River.

In Naqoura, the enemy forces failed to approach the town’s neighborhoods after four tanks were destroyed at its northern borders in the Mashirfa area, along with ongoing confrontations in Labouneh. The enemy continued to launch airstrikes and artillery shelling on the town’s neighborhoods. The enemy army seeks to breach the area by intermittently infiltrating Hamoul between Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab under fire cover but fails due to persistent confrontation by the resistance fighters.

In the past period, the enemy managed to enter the towns of Dhahira, Yarine, Bustan, and the outskirts of Marwahin after destructive shelling and airstrikes, demolishing buildings and places of worship. However, they retreated to the borders and maintained fire control over these towns due to the continuous rocket barrages targeting their forces in the area.

Ramia and Al-Qawzah witnessed intense confrontations between the advancing forces and the resistance, during which the enemy admitted to losing numerous soldiers and tanks. After demolishing buildings, the enemy withdrew to their positions in the Ramia site [in occupied Palestine] and “Zarit” to avoid further losses and continued to shell the area intermittently.

In Aita Al-Shaab, enemy infiltration attempts into the town have been met with heroic resistance. No breakthrough has been achieved in the town center after the incursion and leveling of the western and southern neighborhoods. The town remains under artillery fire.

Confrontations in Yaroun have subsided after the enemy failed to maintain fire control over the town, leaving some pockets on its southern outskirts.

In Maroun Al-Ras, enemy forces remain stationed around the park and eastern outskirts, facing daily rocket attacks. To secure this position, the enemy continues to shell the northern areas overlooking Bint Jbeil, which is under daily air and artillery strikes, along with neighboring towns such as Tayri, Kounine, and Ainata, in what appears to be a prelude to possible infiltration attempts on the town’s outskirts.

Aitaroun continues to witness confrontation operations in some neighborhoods, preventing the enemy from taking control or entering due to resistance inside.

After demolishing buildings and civilian and religious facilities in Muhaibib and Blida, the enemy retreated eastward, maintaining fire control over both towns.

In Meis Al-Jabal, the enemy persists in infiltration attempts and targeting civilian facilities on the northern outskirts but has failed to gain control or enter the town center due to ongoing resistance, despite airstrikes, destruction, and artillery shelling. All enemy movements in the town are targeted daily.

After advancing in the eastern neighborhood of Houla under heavy fire cover for several days and while five bulldozers carried out engineering work and clearing on the eastern outskirts near the Al-Abad site, the resistance launched a series of rocket barrages and guided missiles, destroying two bulldozers and forcing the enemy to retreat to the site, keeping the area under machine gun fire and occasional artillery shelling.

In Markaba and Rab Thalathin, enemy forces maintain fire control over some neighborhoods opposite the border and move from the exposed Wadi Hounin area from occupied Palestinian lands.

The enemy failed to achieve its objectives of reaching Taybeh through Odaisseh after repeated attempts involving fierce confrontations with the resistance, causing significant casualties among enemy soldiers and tanks.

Enemy movements are currently limited to the eastern neighborhoods of Kfar Kila and the “Metulla” settlement, with daily rocket and guided missile targeting of all movements and gatherings, including the recent destruction of a tank near the gate and a guided missile strike on a gathering.

Khiam and its surroundings witnessed four days of fierce confrontations where the resistance valiantly faced tank battalions and infantry in the eastern and southern neighborhoods, inflicting significant casualties on the enemy. The intensity of the clashes prompted the enemy to carry out airstrikes near the clash points to prevent the capture of soldiers. Under heavy artillery and phosphorus shelling, advancing forces fled eastward to Wati Al-Khiam and then to the Al-Amra area near Al-Wazzani. Enemy bulldozers were seen retrieving tanks destroyed by guided rockets, concluding with a complete withdrawal of enemy forces from Khiam and its surroundings and the retreat of all forces from Hamames and Wazzani to “Metulla” settlement and the “Mayan Baruch” site after failing to penetrate Khiam.

On the front of Shebaa Farms and the Kfar Shuba hills, Halta, and Kfar Hamam, there have been movements of infantry and vehicles towards the Sadana heights and the Shebaa Gate, targeted by rocket barrages, while the forested areas in both towns remain subject to artillery shelling and occasional airstrikes.
