Guerrilla Treats Animals Injured as a Result of the Invading Turkish Bombardments

Doctor Firat Riha, who said that many animals were killed in the bombardments of the Turkish state, which plundered the nature of Kurdistan, called on animal lovers to take a stand against the attacks.

Many animal species live in the mountains of Kurdistan. One of these animals is Pezkovî (mountain goat). The invading Turkish state is bombing all the mountains of Kurdistan, especially the Medya Defense Zones. As a result, many living species are killed. Many Pezkovi died in these attacks of the Turkish state.

Firat Riha, who worked as a doctor in the guerrilla, has treated many Pezkovi injured in the bombardments until now. Stating that the Turkish state is plundering the nature of Kurdistan, Firat Riha said, “The Turkish state’s attacks on Medya Defense Zones are not only directed against the guerrilla or the civilian population, but also against all living things. It was also reflected in the media many times that the Turkish state also kills the animals of the people. All living things in the mountains of Kurdistan are exposed to these brutal attacks by the Turkish state. This Pezkovî in my lap was also injured as a result of the Turkish state’s bombardment. After the bombardment, friends found Pezkovî wounded and brought him to me. We treat all living things, not just humans. Pezkovi had head wounds and his feet were broken. After treating and healing, we will release it to nature,” he said.

Drawing attention to the invading Turkish state’s attacks on the nature of Kurdistan, Firat Riha called on animal and nature lovers: “Animal and nature lovers should take a stand against these attacks of the Turkish state. The Turkish state cuts trees on the one hand, kills animals on the one hand, and slaughters the nature of Kurdistan on the other. The Turkish state is making brutal attacks on the lands of Kurdistan, especially the mountains of Kurdistan, but despite this, no one speaks up. Everyone who calls himself human, loves nature and protects animals should oppose this savagery.”
