The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) called on the Palestinian public, both official and popular, to take seriously the statements made by the fascist Minister of Settlement Affairs, Smotrich, and his Prime Minister, Netanyahu, regarding their intention to flood the West Bank with a million new settlers and, in turn, empty it of its Palestinian population through a planned displacement operation.
The DFLP stated: “Talk about a colonial settlement future for the West Bank, while the siege on the Gaza Strip continues, more massacres are being committed, and local displacement plans are being approved, as a prelude to displacement abroad, has begun to paint a clear and vivid picture of the fascist Zionist project and to close the door to any “compromises,” “understandings,” or “political horizon” that could lead to a solution.” The Democratic Front emphasized that the political horizon drawn by the Israeli occupation has become clear, which requires the Palestinian side, and in particular the Executive Committee, all national and Islamic forces, and civil society actors with its various institutions, to reconsider daily policies, which have so far failed to build a comprehensive national confrontation in the West Bank, and to move the situation out of its stagnation, and move towards field action, to confront the fascist Zionist colonial projects, and national consensus on formulas of struggle that will contribute to deterring these projects and confronting them efficiently, by mobilizing all elements of strength in the national and popular situation, and the service and security institutions of the Authority.
The Democratic Front called for overcoming the degrading positions of the last session of the Central Council and returning to upholding the principle of “comprehensive resistance” using all possible means, both on the ground and in international institutions. It called for not being satisfied with slogans that have brought our people nothing but harm and disappointment over the past 30 years, and have encouraged the occupation to become increasingly brutal, to the point of openly proposing a zero-sum solution based on displacing our people from the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
