On May 28, Daniela Klette, according to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office a former member of the RAF, which was dissolved in 1998, made a statement in the ongoing trial, in which she also criticizes the multi-million dollar expansion of the riding hall in Verden into a courthouse:
There are a thousand ideas that most people immediately come up with, where money would be extremely welcome instead of such an irrational complex: school buildings, daycare centers, swimming pools, hospitals, climate and environmental protection, women’s shelters, dignified living conditions for refugees, etc. (…)
All efforts are directed towards militarization and war capability – externally, warmongering, rearmament and German support for the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank through the uninterrupted supply of military material to the right-wing radical Israeli government. And even if there are now timid critical statements from government circles about Israel’s conduct of the war, only actions such as sanctions and the stop of all military support will show whether this is more than politician theater. The fact that such statements were made at all was only achieved through the continuity and expansion of the resistance in solidarity with Palestine and the increasing international pressure.
Internally, the expansion of police powers to monitor and prosecute resistance is taking place, supported by the technological expansion of the search apparatus with AI and drones, as well as the desolidarization within society and the progressive deprivation of rights of migrants, refugees and those affected by poverty, the implementation of right-wing radical demands as government policy and the intensified repression against those who see that capitalism carries war and fascism and leads to the destruction of the living conditions of all (…)
