Turkey: Three Revolutionary Prisoners End Hunger Strike

Revolutionary prisoners Ayberk Demirdögen, Ulaş İnci, and Nazım Şafak Korkmaz have ended their hunger strikes after achieving their demands, a victory attributed to the joint mobilization of the prisoners, their families, and their supporters. They had been on hunger strike for 290, 78, and 68 days, respectively.

However, the struggle against the “well-like” prisons continues, with several prisoners remaining on indefinite hunger strike in high-security prisons in Antalya, Çorlu Karatepe, and Kandıra, while families maintain support actions in Ankara and İzmir. Indeed, Tahsin Sağaltıcı and Gürkan Türkoğlu have been on hunger strike since July 30, 2025, while Ali Dilmen has been on it since August 11, Hüseyin Özen since August 18 and Doğan Karataş since October 15, 2025.
