Shooting between Resistance and Occupation Forces in Palestine

The Israeli occupation forces (members of the Duvdevan elite units and the Golani Brigade reconnaissance battalion) led a raid inside Nablus to capture Abdel Kamel Jouri and Osama Taweel. These two resistance fighters are members of the “Lion’s Den” group and were wanted for the automatic weapon attack in which an Israeli sergeant, a member of the Givati infantry brigade, had been killed October 11.

A Palestinian, Amir Bustami, was killed and seven others injured during the clashes. Abdel Kamel Jouri and Osama Taweel were injured and captured. Three other Palestinians were arrested during the operation.

In addition, a Palestinian stabbed an Israeli border police officer at a control station near a Shuafat refugee camp in the suburbs of Jerusalem. An Israeli civil security officer shot the Palestinian, but his shots touched and killed the policeman. The Palestinian was arrested.
