Message To The International Youth Conference In Berlin, Germany
Comrades,
On behalf of our organization, the Revolutionary Student-Youth Movement, we extend revolutionary greetings to everyone present at the conference. Our National Committee offers revolutionary salutations to the New Democratic Youth Organization of Turkey for inviting our organization to this assembly. This youth conference is taking place at a time when the danger of a Third World War is looming globally. Imperialism continues to intensify the exploitation of people across nations, both directly and indirectly, through their puppet bureaucratic-comprador capitalism and feudal systems. Directly supported by US imperialism, the genocide in Gaza continues. Furthermore, imperialism is waging “low-intensity” wars against the people of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Despite inter-imperialist contradictions, all forms of imperialism are united in suppressing the resistance struggles in these regions.
On the other hand, the necessity for a united global struggle has emerged as a more urgent duty for revolutionaries than ever before. In this context, today’s conference has immense significance.
Comrades,
The neo-liberal policies of global imperialism are driving up the unemployment of youth across the world. As part of this trend, the problem of unemployment among the youth in our country has taken a severe form. Although the commercialization of education and the de-politicization of students and youth began at the end of the last century, it has reached its peak in recent times. The subjective weakness of revolutionary politics in today’s world is making this situation even more fragile. Religious fascism is making desperate attempts to return to power everywhere by seizing this opportunity. They are making the youth subservient and dependent. Revolutionary politics among the youth is advancing—and must continue to advance—by confronting these challenges.
The people of Bangladesh have struggled against Awami-Indian fascism for the past 17 years. Following that continuity, the Awami government fell in a mass uprising in August 2024. Backed directly by imperialism, particularly Indian expansionism, Awami-Hasina fascism sat like a heavy stone upon the people. The uprising of students and youth against it was significant. However, shortly after the uprising, the results were usurped by religious fascism and so-called “apolitical” forces loyal to imperialism, who are merely a different front for the ruling class. On one hand, they are imposing exploitation on the people; on the other, they are misleading students and youth with Islamic religious-fascist activities in the name of so-called “anti-India” sentiment. Their version of anti-India has no connection to the legitimate struggle of the students, youth, and the masses against Indian expansionism.
The revolutionary students and youth of Bangladesh are passing through a transitional period. To build a revolutionary movement, the duty of today’s revolutionary youth is two-fold: confronting religious fascism and resisting the attempts of Hasina-India fascism to return. By propagating revolutionary politics among the children of the oppressed—including workers and peasants—and equipping them as future revolutionary cadres, the students and youth of Bangladesh are continuing their struggle to establish their rights.
Indian expansionism is a major regional threat to the people of Bangladesh. There is a legitimate grievance among students and youth against it; however, a large portion of that anger is being diverted toward religious fascism. In opposition to the Hindutva politics of Modi, Islamic clericalism is gaining influence in the country. Therefore, at this moment, we must advance by simultaneously struggling against the Indian ruling class and confronting internal religious fascism.
Historically, the youth of our country played a vital role in anti-imperialist struggles. From the National Liberation War of ’71 to the anti-autocracy struggles, the courageous role of the youth was at the forefront. However, due to various weaknesses in revolutionary strategy and tactics based on Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the New Democratic Revolution remains unfinished.
Our organization is carrying out supportive efforts to build communist revolutionary cadres by propagating revolutionary politics among students and youth to complete that unfinished task. Simultaneously, we are advancing the struggle to establish a New Democratic education policy. We stand in support of the just struggles of oppressed classes and people at home and abroad, serving as a bridge to unite the youth with the workers and peasants.
Comrades,
Through the comrades gathered here today from various parts of the world, our organization calls for the strengthening of the united struggle of anti-imperialist youth organizations on a global scale. We hope this conference will play a vital role in advancing the struggle against imperialism, bureaucratic comprador capitalism and feudalism in every country.
Revolutionary greetings to all once again.
