Fifteen months of absolute compliance with the Ceasefire Agreement, Hezbollah disappeared entirely from south of the Litani river. Lebanese military with direct orders from IDF began confiscating and ensuring clearance of the areas. Israel with “its just to be certain” actions, continued assassinations and targeting of what they believed could possibly be hidden weapons caches.
In the final months of the agreement the Lebanese army area set up posts all across the Lebanese – Israeli border. Not a single ant went undetected during this time by constant Israeli drones.
With the onset of the Iranian war, constant violations of the agreement (8,000+ violations by Israel) and assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei (r), Hezbollah had to finally make its move.
