The military spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, has praised the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah, for their top-tier operations and for dealing the zionist occupation forces heavy losses, urging escalation and the capture of zionist troops to secure the release of Palestinian and Arab detainees.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Abu Obeida hailed the consequential operations carried out by Hezbollah’s fighters, and called for intensified efforts and the detention of zionist soldiers as leverage for future prisoner exchange deals.
Such actions, he said, are especially urgent following the zionist approval of a law that would allow the execution of Palestinian detainees currently in Israeli jails.
Moreover, the military spokesperson said the trajectory of Palestinian resistance has demonstrated that armed struggle remains the most effective means for liberating detainees. He recalled Gaza’s role in this effort, noting the heavy sacrifices the Palestinian Resistance factions made in pursuit of prisoner liberation, and urged Hezbollah to resume this shared mission.
Zionist regime must be held accountable
Abu Obeida also slammed the entities arbitrary measures, including restricting access to Al-Aqsa Mosque and ongoing aggression across the region, as part of a broader pattern of escalation.
He called on Arab and Muslim nations, as well as international actors, to take concrete action against the occupation, either by holding the occupation accountable or by exerting pressure to halt its policies, “as the bare minimum.”
Read Abu Obeida’s statement in full below:
Blessed are the hands of the heroes of the Islamic resistance in Lebanon, who continue to inflict heavy losses on the Zionist enemy, most recently during the significant operation carried out yesterday. We call on them to intensify their efforts to capture Zionist soldiers in order to secure the release of Palestinian and Arab prisoners from the darkness of occupation prisons, especially following the approval of the law permitting the execution of prisoners.
The course of our people’s struggle against the Zionists has proven that the shortest path to liberating prisoners is through resistance. Gaza has sacrificed greatly in this regard, and we urge the heroes of Hezbollah to continue this mission. Our certainty in God remains firm: He will not abandon our free prisoners and will grant them relief and a way out from their suffering.
This Zionist arrogance, most recently demonstrated through the approval of the prisoner execution law, the crime of closing Al-Aqsa, and the aggression against our Arab and Islamic peoples, obliges all components of our nation and the free people of the world to exert every possible effort to punish the occupation for its crimes—or at the very least, to pressure it into halting its aggression. This is the bare minimum of responsibility.
