The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced the launch of Khaybar 2 operations, signifying a new phase of escalation as part of the battle against the zionist occupation.
The operations are being carried out as part of Operation Devoured Straw to defend Lebanon and its people, in retaliation for the zionist aggression that has targeted a vast area of Lebanese villages and cities, including Beirut.
The eight coordinated operations focused on the occupied city of Haifa and its surrounding areas, with Hezbollah fighters striking the Stella Maris base, a strategic naval monitoring and surveillance base along the northern coast, with a salvo of rockets at 8:00 pm local time.
At the same time, the movement announced it targeted the Nasherim base southeast of Haifa with rocket fire and swarms of suicide drones.
Hezbollah also said it struck infrastructure linked to the zionist military in the Krayot area, north of Haifa, using additional rocket barrages.
In a fourth statement on the Khaybar 2 operations, the movement announced it also targeted Tefen Base (east of Akka) at 20:00, using rockets and suicide drones.
Separately, the Islamic Resistance said it fired four rocket salvos at four zionist settlements, Shlomi, Shomera, Zar’it, and Nahariya.
What the zionist media is saying
In a related development, zionist Channel 12 reported that the Israeli military told settlers it had not detected any Hezbollah movement, indicating an imminent rocket attack, and therefore did not issue warnings.
Earlier, reports stated that renewed rocket fire from Lebanon emerged, with sirens sounding in Nahariya, Akka, Haifa, and surrounding areas.
At the same time, waves of attack drones reportedly entered occupied Palestine’s airspace following the rocket barrages, triggering sirens across multiple settlements in the Upper al-Jalil.
Channel 12 said rocket fire from Lebanon toward the north had been “continuous,” reporting more than 40 rockets and drones launched toward the region.
Israel Hayom described around 20 minutes of uninterrupted rocket fire directed at Haifa and northern areas.
On its part, Channel 11 quoted former zionist military and intelligence officials as saying the Lebanese front represents a uniquely complex and layered battlefield compared with other arenas.
Hezbollah launched Khaybar 1
On March 17, Hezbollah announced the launch of Khaybar 1 operations. At the time, zionist media reported non-stop sirens across the occupied north of Palestine, as well as continuous rocket launches from South Lebanon.
The Resistance also emphasized that these strikes targeted military objectives only, unlike zionist attacks, which target civilians, stressing that the operations are meant to deter zionist aggression and prevent further escalation against Lebanon.
