The Resistance Changed the Rules of Engagement by Force, and the Enemy Expresses its Failure by Bombing Beirut and Committing Massacres

Khaled Barakat, a member of the Executive Committee of the Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, stated that the Zionist enemy’s escalation of its aggression against the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, reflects the profound failure the Zionist entity’s army is experiencing on the ground, following its defeats on the southern front.

Barakat pointed out that the enemy forces, both soldiers and officers, were unable to achieve their military objectives after the resistance successfully targeted its tanks and vehicles, imposing new deterrent equations that changed the rules of engagement by force.

Barakat emphasized that the enemy’s resort to bombing Beirut and committing massacres against civilians is a clear expression of its political and military crisis and a desperate attempt to compensate for its failures on the battlefield.

He added that this crisis is exacerbated by the failure of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to provide protection for the northern settlements and its inability to curb the capabilities of the resistance, which has reorganized its ranks, regained the initiative, and become stronger and more resilient.

Barakat emphasized that the resistance in Lebanon will not allow the enemy to continue its aggression and will not accept a return to attacks on Lebanon and its people. He affirmed that the resistance will remain ready and capable of imposing new equations in the face of the occupation.

Barakat called on all free people of the world to take to the streets and squares to express their widespread popular anger at the Zionist entity’s massacres in Lebanon and to escalate organized popular mobilization against the aggression. He also stressed the necessity of exposing the role played by the United States in providing political and military support and international cover for this aggression, asserting that confronting the imperialist-Zionist project requires a broad global popular movement commensurate with the scale of the crimes committed against the people.
