“We Will Start Shooting”: Translation of the Threatening Letter Targeting the Project Bringing Zionists to Italy

A letter containing a live bullet was delivered to Pietro Bondetti, the mayor of Varallo, in Italy’s Piedmont region. The message, signed by a group calling itself the “Anti-Zionist Movement,” targets Progetto Baita, an initiative that has facilitated the relocation of Israeli families to several municipalities in the Valsesia valley.

The envelope and its contents are now being examined by the Prosecutor’s Office in Vercelli, which has opened an investigation to identify those responsible.

Progetto Baita was established as an initiative to address long-term depopulation in the Valsesia valley. According to information released by the project’s organizers, more than 80 Israeli families—around 250 people—have already relocated to the area, while more than 400 people have registered for the program. The municipalities involved include Varallo, Borgosesia, Cravagliana and Scopello.

English translation

FUCK ISRAEL

The enclosed “gift” is addressed to Ugo Luzzati, who seeks to establish Israeli colonies on other people’s land, and to Mayor Pietro Bondetti and all the mayors of the Valsesia Valley who support Progetto Baita.

The expansion and settlement of the colonists will be stopped with bullets, if necessary.

We will not allow the transfer of more families of Nazi Zionist butchers.

This is the only warning before we start shooting.

ANTI-ZIONIST
MOVEMENT

Italian authorities have opened an investigation into the incident. The letter and the bullet have been seized for forensic examination as prosecutors work to identify those responsible for sending the threat.

The case has attracted attention because it is linked to Progetto Baita, a relocation initiative that has received significant media coverage in recent months. The threatening letter explicitly references the project, its promoter Ugo Luzzati, and the local mayors who support it, making it the central focus of the intimidation.
