Five years after the passing of our beloved comrade Luisa Toledo, an example of struggle and resistance, we keep her memory alive with fire and in the streets because protest is and will continue to be the way to respond to the violence of this system of misery and oppression. We also remember and stand up for our comrades Sebastián and Nicolás, imprisoned on July 6, 2024, the night before the commemoration of the third anniversary of Luisa’s passing, who today continue their resistance in the ex Penitentiary of Santiago.
The powerful—always with the state on their side—seek to perpetuate her legacy by imposing fear and submission through their repressive methods. We know all too well the purpose of those who create and enforce laws, trials, and sentences to imprison those who challenge them, but the fighting spirit will not be intimidated or annihilated because it is fueled by the courage and teachings of comrades like Luisa and so many who came before us and accompany us on this path of struggle and anarchist subversion.
