Multiple Fronts of Resistance Push Imperial Forces to the Brink

As the war in Gaza continues unabated, the regional resistance has taken notably more aggressive actions and stances towards the US and its imperial attack dog, the Zionist regime. The Lebanese, Iraqi, and Yemeni fronts have all expanded their operations and demands as the US is being pushed to the edge of its imperial hegemonic power.

Lebanese Resistance

In a swift and calculated response to the assassination of Palestinian Resistance leader Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri, Hezbollah targeted one of the occupation forces’ Air Traffic Control Bases in northern occupied Palestine. The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon launched a barrage of 62 rockets, aimed at the base located atop Mount Jarmaq (“Meron”), the highest peak in the ’48 occupied Palestine.

The attack, which occurred on Saturday morning, specifically targeted the sole center for the management and monitoring of air traffic in the northern occupied territories, known as the “Meron” Air Traffic Control Base. Hezbollah stated that this facility has no equivalent alternative, leaving the occupation with a significant gap in their operations.

Zionist media outlets pointed out on Sunday that the army’s “Meron” air control and surveillance airbase was targeted by Hezbollah with an advanced version of Kornet missiles with an effective range of up to 10 km.

The media outlets warned that the Iron Dome, the entity’s state-of-the-art anti-air system, is not designed to deal with this type of threat, cautioning that the occupation army must find solutions to address this issue.

Situated atop Mount Jarmaq, the highest peak in occupied Palestine, the base is around 8km from the Lebanese borders.

It is the sole facility responsible for managing and controlling air operations toward Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Cyprus, as well as the northern part of the eastern Mediterranean Sea basin. Moreover, the base acts as a central hub for electronic warfare interference in the mentioned directions, staffed by a significant number of elite officers and soldiers.

Since day one of the border escalations, Hezbollah has been focusing its operations on targeting Zionist military spying and intelligence hardware in occupation bases stretching along the entire Lebanese-Palestinian border.

However, the “Meron” operation, given the base’s critical role, has been the most significant so far.

Hezbollah has been pursuing a goal since the beginning of the war, which is to “blind ‘Israeli’ systems in the northern region,” according to Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

The organization released this statement in regards to the action:

Firstly, Meron Air Surveillance Base is located on the summit of Mount Jarmaq in northern occupied Palestine. It is the highest peak in occupied Palestine and serves as the sole center for administration, monitoring, and air control in the northern usurping entity. There is no main alternative to Meron Base, which is one of the two main bases in the entire usurping entity. The other base is Mitzpe Ramon in the south.

Secondly, Islamic Resistance fighters carried out an initial response at 08:10 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2024, targeting the Meron Air Surveillance Base with 62 rockets of various types. This was in response to the assassination of the great leader Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri and his martyr brothers in the southern suburb of Beirut.

in regards to accomplishments made by the resistance on the Lebanese front against the Israeli occupation in southern Lebanon and the purpose for opening it all together, Nasrallah stressed that the resistance and Lebanon as a whole are today “before a historic opportunity to liberate every inch of our land and establish a balance of power that prevents the enemy from once again violating the sovereignty of our country.”

Today, he added, Hezbollah is fighting on the front within certain parameters that take into account Lebanon’s situation and interests, which is causing the resistance movement to pay the price with the blood of its resistance fighters.

However, Sayyed Nasrallah underlined, in the case of a full-scale war being declared on Lebanon, “We will have no limits, no restrictions, no rules of engagement, or boundaries.”

“Whoever might think about going to war with us will regret such a decision. War with us will be tremendously costly,” he stressed. “If war is declared against us, national interest will require us to fight the war until the very end,” Sayyed Nasrallah concluded.

Iraqi Resistance

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq declared Sunday that it successfully targeted a crucial site in Zionist-occupied Haifa in recent days, employing the newly revealed “al-Arqab” upgraded long-range cruise missile.

The official statement released by the Iraqi Resistance outlined that this operation was conducted in staunch support of the people in Gaza and as a direct response to the relentless massacres inflicted by the occupying entity on Palestinian civilians, including vulnerable groups such as children, women, and the elderly.

Emphasizing a commitment to ongoing resistance, the statement pledged that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq “will continue to target enemy strongholds,” underscoring the group’s determination to counter aggression.

The use of the upgraded long-range cruise missile highlights the evolving capabilities of the Iraqi Resistance in its efforts to address regional conflicts. This was also a notable escalation in their field of struggle.

In regards to the Iraqi front, Hezbollah’s Nasrallah stated that, Iraq today has a chance to get rid of the US occupation. Nasrallah asserted as the Iraqi Resistance attacks US occupation bases in Syria and Iraq in support of the people and Resistance of Gaza in a noble fashion.

“The US is concerned at a time when it is before a debacle in Ukraine […] it is before a major strategic defeat in Ukraine, and it does not want to expand the conflict in the region,” he underlined, clarifying that this was solely because of its interests, not out of love for the peoples of the region.

“There is a historic opportunity before the Iraqi government, parliament, and people to oust the killers and occupiers who shed the blood of the people of Iraq and Iran and the remainder of the peoples of the region,” he said.

The Iraqi Prime Minister officially announced he demands the US to exit the country, and he announced steps to ensure that occurs. If this process succeeds it will likely lead to the US exit from Syria as well.

Anti-US Operations Intensify

Earlier on Sunday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that the US occupation forces base in Qasrok, located in the Hasakah countryside, northeastern Syria, was targeted for the second time. The operation was conducted using drones.

The Resistance also announced, in a separate statement, that its fighters targeted a Zionist occupation base in the occupied Golan Heights also using drones.

Moreover, the Iraqi Resistance targeted the occupied “Ain al-Assad” US occupation base in western Iraq using drones.

Yemeni Resistance

Washington and its allies recently made threatening statements towards in Yemen with the hope of preventing the armed forces from further carrying out attacks against ships bound for and owned by the Zionist regime in the Red Sea. Yemen refused to weaken its position and continues its unprecedented, historical naval blockade.

“We are ready for all options, and our operations are ongoing, no matter the American threats; our messages to the Americans are clear, and they must understand them,” Ali al-Qahoum, a senior member of Ansarallah, said.

He continued, “We cannot leave Palestine alone, and the era of isolating Palestine is over; we are present for the battle and are attentive and ready for all options.”

With regard to the Yemeni response to any US aggression on the country, al-Qahoum warned that “the battle will be costly for the Americans, and they should leave the Red Sea and the Yemeni territories they are in,” holding them responsible for “the consequences of all their criminal hostile moves against Yemen.”

This comes after the head of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen’s Sanaa, Mahdi al-Mashat, declared on Saturday that “Washington will pay the price for targeting our forces,” referring to the US attack on Yemeni naval forces carrying out their duty toward Palestine in the Red Sea, which led to the martyrdom of 10 servicemembers.

“The blood of the martyrs of the naval forces has ignited a new battle with the American enemy,” al-Mashat said, confirming that “a response is inevitable if the Americans do not rectify the situation by handing over the killers of our naval forces heroes.”

Commenting on the Yemeni operations, he reiterated, “Any ship associated with the ‘Israeli’ entity will not pass through the Red Sea, no matter the cost.”

“Peace is achieved by stopping the daily crimes in Gaza, and by stopping the Zionist aggression and the American terrorism supporting it.”
