US Occupation Forces Flee Syrian Base as Regional Resistance Maintains Pressure

US occupation forces have evacuated the Hemo base in the countryside of the city of Qamishli, north of Hasakah, in Syria as a result of repeated attacks on this base by Resistance factions in Iraq.

The Hemo base is a vital one for the US occupation forces in Syria, as it is located 4km west of Qamishli Airport, and has recently increased its troop size to 350 troops.

The village of Hemo also contains a special training camp for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) where US forces train SDF fighters, putting the Rojava project into an increasingly complex and disastrous political position.

On January 10th, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance announced that it targeted the Hemo base with a missile strike.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Saturday that its fighters targeted three US occupation bases in northeastern Syria

The Resistance stated that it targeted two US occupation bases in the al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor as well as a US base in the Green Village in Syria, using drones.

Earlier, the Iraqi Resistance declared targeting the US occupation base in Kharab al-Jir in the countryside of al-Hasakah province in northeastern Syria with a missile barrage.

It reiterated that the targeting of US occupation bases in Iraq and the region comes in response to the massacres committed by the Zionist occupation entity against the people of the Gaza Strip, as well as due to Washington’s support for the occupation and its essential role in the ongoing aggression.

Since October 17, the Resistance in Iraq has been consistently targeting US occupation bases in Iraq and Syria, pointing out that these operations come as part of their ongoing resistance against US occupation forces in the region and in response to the Zionist occupation entity’s massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

A US military official stated that US forces have been subjected to at least 130 attacks in Syria and Iraq since October 17, 2023, up until Saturday, noting that the attacks comprised 53 in Iraq and 77 in Syria.

It is noteworthy that the Resistance’s targets are not limited to US forces but also include Zionist targets. The Iraqi Resistance has claimed responsibility for several strikes on vital Israeli targets in southern occupied Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

Palestinian Resistance

The Zionist aggression on Gaza proceeds for the 102 day, with relentless Zionist air strikes targeting several areas across the besieged enclave and the Resistance keeping up its operations, both to repel Zionist advancing attempts and also launching rockets towards the occupied territories.

Largest Rocket Barrage

Although 102 days have passed, and despite Zionist claims that the occupation army allegedly “dismantled Hamas’ battalion frameworks,” the Palestinian Resistance fired the largest rocket barrage in several weeks.

Both Palestinian and Zionist media reported that more than 50 rockets were fired from Gaza at the city of Netivot in the Gaza envelope.

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, claimed responsibility for the launch.

Al-Qassam Brigades aannounced that its fighters successfully targeted two tanks with Al-Yassin 105 shells and an occupation military bulldozer using two anti-armor devices in Khan Younis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Brigades added that it confronted an occupation foot force from close range, and destroyed a gathering of occupation vehicles and soldiers with mortar shells, also in the city of Khan Younis.

In Gaza City, particularly east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood, al-Qassam launched mortar shells at Zionist gatherings and aimed at a troop carrier on Jabal al-Rais. This led to confrontations with soldiers who were close to the carrier.

The al-Qassam Brigades also confirmed that these soldiers were killed or wounded, adding that Zionist ambulances and helicopters were seen rushing to recover the dead and wounded. Furthermore, al-Qassam fighters targeted a gathering of occupation forces to the north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, bombarding them with heavy-caliber mortar shells.

In turn, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, targeted a gathering of occupation forces and a military excavation machine, east of Souq al-Hob, opposite the cemetery in Khan Younis, with a barrage of mortar shells.

South of Khan Younis, the al-Quds Brigades targeted occupation sites and vehicles with mortar shells, in the vicinity of the College of Science and Technology.

The National Resistance Brigades, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, confronted the Zionist vehicles raiding Jabal al-Rais, east of the town of Jabalia and west of Beit Hanoun, in the northern Gaza Strip.

The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement, announced that its fighters destroyed invading occupation vehicles and targeted forces using mortar shells near the College of Science and Technology.

Yemen Continues Naval Blockade

Yemeni armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced in a recent statement, that Yemen has targeted a ship headed to the Zionist regime after it ignored warning calls to turn back.

This operation serves as evidence of the Yemeni Armed Forces’ persistence to maintain the blockade against Zionist, and Zionist affiliated navigation in the Arabian and Red Seas despite last week’s US-UK aggression aimed at deterring them.

“Triumphing the oppressed Palestinian people [of Gaza] who are subjected to aggression and siege, the naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the ship Zogravia, which was headed to the ports of occupied Palestine, with several adequate missiles: leaving direct hits,” Brigadier General Saree opened up his statement.

The Yemeni Armed Forces had deliberated on striking the vessel after the crew had repeatedly ignored their calls and warning messages, Saree specified.

The Yemeni Armed Forces remain steadfast in executing their military operations to block Zionist navigation in the Arab and Red Seas until a ceasefire is achieved in Gaza and the siege on the Palestinian people is lifted, he added.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces continue to take all defensive and offensive measures within the scope of their legitimate right to defend Yemen and in affirmation of continued practical solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people,” Saree ended his statement.

The bulk ship Zogravia was on its way north to the Suez Canal when it was hit, according to the Greek Shipping and Island Policy Ministry.

In November, the Yemeni resistance announced its decision to target all Zionist-linked commercial and military ships transiting the Red Sea, or ships heading to the ports of occupied Palestine.

They vowed to continue to do so until the genocide on the people of Gaza came to a complete halt.

Iraqi Resistance Strikes Deep into the Occupation

Commenting on the recent strike against the central settlement in occupied Palestine, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced in a statement that its operation had targeted a vital site using “al-Arqab” upgraded long-range cruise missile.

Sources in the Iraqi resistance confirmed that that targeted site was indeed in the coastal occupied city of Haifa

The Iraqi resistance affirmed its commitment to continue “striking the enemy’s strongholds,” promising more frequent operations in the upcoming stage.

Reports state that on Sunday morning a large explosion in the occupied Haifa Bay near the oil refineries was witnessed.

Zionist statements on the explosion’s details have been contradictory. Some media outlets claimed that the blast in the occupied Haifa Bay refineries was due to a malfunction, characterizing it as “non-security-related.” Conversely, other Zionist media sources proposed that the explosion was a result of a missile strike.

The Zionist regime and its media sources routinely hide, or obscure resistance activities that do not fit their official narrative.

Last week, on January 7th, the Iraqi resistance targeted a vital site in Zionist-occupied Haifa. According to the official statement released by the Iraqi Resistance, the operation was conducted using the now-revealed “al-Arqab” upgraded long-range cruise missile.

The Resistance emphasized it “will continue to target enemy strongholds,” promising that more is yet to come.
