The Kurdish people, with their indomitable mothers and fighters with the spirit of sacrifice, with their revolutionary prisoners in dungeons facing terrible oppression, and with their political exiles abroad, are standing!
Hunger strikes, demonstrations and marches, all kinds of acts of civil disobedience, sending cards and letters to prisoners, resistance tents, the powerful strikes of the guerrilla, all kinds of ways and means are shouting in the faces of the fascist executioners and their imperialist masters: You cannot darken our sun!
A quarter of a century has passed since the Kurdish people’s leader Öcalan was imprisoned by the imperialist international conspiracy and handed over to the fascist Turkish state! On February 15, 1999, leader Öcalan was handed over to the fascist state in a US-NATO operation staged by US imperialism itself.
They thought that the great march for freedom would end! They thought that this honorable people, the laborers of Turkey and Kurdistan would bow down and surrender! Neither the imprisonment of the Kurdish people’s leader Öcalan with the international conspiracy, nor the December 19 Dungeon Massacre, which drowned all the dungeons in blood and fire, gave the result desired by the imperialists and the fascist state. Despite all the oppression, bloodshed and massacres, our peoples did not refrain from rebelling and engaging in tough struggles. The Kurdish people’s leader Öcalan, who was wanted to be captured and destroyed in the Imrali Isolation and Extermination System, did not bow to these unprecedented pressures. The Kurdistan freedom guerrillas in the mountains did not give up fighting. Our mothers did not hesitate for a moment to stand up against this fascist state. Our workers and laborers did not stop strikes, protests, demonstrations and marches despite all the pressure of the fascist state.
The international conspiracy they carried out with great hopes a quarter of a century ago failed to achieve its goal in any way!
The Kurdish people’s leader Öcalan, who has been kept under absolute isolation for three years in the İmralı isolation and extermination system, and revolutionary prisoners in all dungeons are under intense attack. Revolutionary prisoners are on hunger strike both to draw attention to the Imrali isolation and to protest the intensifying oppression and attacks in prisons. In Bakur, people are organizing a “Great Freedom March” demanding an immediate end to the Imrali isolation and extermination system and the release of Kurdish people’s leader Öcalan. Actions of solidarity with revolutionary prisoners are being organized everywhere.
Our militia organized a series of actions within the scope of the campaign to support such a strong process of popular action.
First, our militia mobilized in Adana on the night of January 29th. In Şakirpaşa, we organized an attack with Molotovs and bombs against TOMAs and armored police vehicles. The armored vehicle was hit by the explosion of the bombs.
On February 1, our militia mobilized in Antep. We carried out an act of sabotage against the Land Registry Cadastre building around 16 p.m. As a result of the action, the archive section on the rooftop was completely burned to ashes.
Again in the morning hours of February 1, we carried out an action in Izmir. A workplace belonging to a supporter of the fascist government in Kemeraltı was completely destroyed as a result of the sabotage action we organized.
Our people are on their feet. We, as the fedayeen forces of our people, are on the move against the fascist enemy everywhere. We will not stop until we win the victory.
