Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

On the Occasion of 76th Anniversary of the Nakba of 1948.

76 years of ongoing Nakba and resistance.
O masses of our heroic people,

The 76th anniversary of the Nakba of 1948 and the continuing Palestinian exile come with new and unique events of the Nakba and ongoing chapters of ethnic cleansing and genocide on the path to completing the end of the struggle and the liquidation of the existence of our people and the Palestinian cause.

Today, the greatest crime of the modern era is being committed, the same zionist gangs with their colonial makers and their reactionary tails, in full view and hearing of the world, carrying out the dirtiest genocide of stone and human, to prove that the state of eradication, racism, settlement, and Judaization is a state hostile to humanity, morally fallen, and vainly trying to find its place in our region and on the ruins of the Palestinian homeland, because our people, over the years of the Nakba and until now, present a living model of their love for freedom and their homeland, clinging to their historical rights and the justice of their cause, and with legendary steadfastness in the face of genocide, affirming that resistance continues as long as the occupation continues, and their unparalleled living creativity, teaching the peoples of the world lessons in steadfastness, giving, and belonging.

We bow to the high heads in the Gaza Strip over the past eight months, the towering figures with the experience of generations of Palestinians who have never surrendered to the arrogance and brutality of colonial power, clinging to every grain of their land’s soil and planting a martyr in every square meter, rooted in their soil like the olive trees, and continuing the struggle against the zionist system in all its forms, for history and the world to stand in respect to these steadfast on the lands of the heroic epics of steadfast Gaza and all those who support them in any form of engagement with the zionist military genocide machine.

Over the course of 76 years, the zionist project has not and will not succeed in obliterating the Arab Palestinian national identity and falsifying the Palestinian narrative based on facts and history, relying on its usurpation of Palestine. The glorious October epic of Gaza revealed the reality of the zionist system as a colonial machine and tool designated to carry out genocide on behalf of the entire colonial system, showing the lies and biases of the international community and its submission to the arrogance of American colonial power. This confrontation reminded all the peoples of the earth of the ongoing crime against the Palestinian people—crimes inseparable from what is committed in the ongoing assaults on the occupied West Bank including Al-Quds, nor from the racist practices targeting the political, economic, and social rights of our people in the lands occupied in 1948, and nor from the suffering that our people have lived since the Nakba in the refugee camps and diaspora.

O masses of our people and our Arab nation,

Today, we and all the free people of the world face the zionist project supported by colonial forces to complete a declared genocide war aimed at completing the Nakba of 1948, while our people and the free of our nation and the free of the world stand before a fateful challenge to regain the initiative and defeat the colonial zionist genocide project, fighting a just battle on behalf of this nation against barbarism and colonialism and policies of the genocide of peoples and violation of their rights, defending their right to return, self-determination, freedom, and dignity.

The position of the Palestinian in this world today is not the position of the victim complaining about the injustice of the killer executioner, but the position of the rightful owner of a just cause who pursues the criminals of the era, the zionists, with weapons, words, demonstrations, and all forms of resistance actions against the zionist war criminals, the position of the steadfast fighter on Palestinian land blowing up the tanks of the zionist military killing system, and inflicting strikes on the killer soldiers and officers, the steadfast defender of his right and land in Al-Quds, Nablus, Jenin, and Tulkarem, and the struggler clinging to his Palestinian identity in our lands occupied in 1948 rejecting the policies of “israelization” and all forms of colonial division of the people of Palestine.

Masses of our people, our nation, and the free of the world,

On the anniversary of the Nakba:

First: Rejecting submission to the results of the Nakba and its renewed chapters and clinging to all our historical rights in Palestine from the river to the sea.

Second: Clinging to resistance as the key to return, considering it the essence of the rights and the root of the struggle, and to all the historical rights of our people in Palestine.

Third: Rejection and resistance to projects of displacement and ethnic cleansing along with associated liquidation plans and “the day after” concept, which means continuing the struggle to seize the rights of our people and deter the colonial zionist project from devouring the entire region.

Fourth: The cohesion of the resistance front and its Axis with Palestinian steadfastness requires the support and real backing of all our Arab nations and humanity as a whole, escalating all forms of solidarity and struggle against the interests of the zionist enemy and the states and governments that are partners in its ongoing crime against our people.

Fifth: Unifying the field work of the resistance in a single front that includes every fighter joining the battle against the genocide war, to form an impenetrable wall against the enemy, providing true support for our steadfast people across the national soil, and rejecting all dictates and attempts to impose guardianship over our people while clinging to our right to self-determination.

Sixth: The growing international boycott movement and solidarity with the Palestinian people, and the acceptance of Palestine as a non-member observer at the United Nations, necessitates mobilizing and organizing energies and efforts and providing all capabilities to continue besieging the occupation and bringing its leaders to trial, leveraging membership in international treaties and agreements, including the International Criminal Court.

Seventh: The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is considered the living international witness to the crime of the Nakba, and the continuation of the crime today underscores the urgent need for it to assume its legal and moral responsibilities in providing all services to Palestinian refugees wherever they are. As an international body established for this purpose, it has no right to reduce its services under any pretexts or justifications as long as there is a single refugee who has not yet returned to their land.

Salutations to our people in heroic Gaza in our lands occupied in 1948 who have withstood and resisted the schemes of their displacement and expulsion from their lands.

Salutations to our people in the refugee camps and diaspora, and loyalty to the martyrs of the resistance and to the heroes everywhere from Palestine to Lebanon, to Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Iran, to the blood shed daily over the soil of Palestine, and to the martyrs of our people who sacrificed their lives to restore and liberate Palestine, all of Palestine. Salutations to the female and male prisoners, heroes of the epic of chains and freedom, who sacrificed their freedom for ours.

We will certainly be victorious.

Hamas

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. On the 76th anniversary of the Nakba:
Al-Aqsa Flood is a natural extension of our people’s resistance and their legitimate right to defend their land and sanctities. It’s a strategic milestone that has restored the global presence of our cause, reinforced our national unity behind the resistance, shattered the enemy’s arrogance, and solidified our ongoing struggle for liberation and return, and the end of the occupation.

This year marks the painful 76th anniversary of the Nakba amid the heroic battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, waged by our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, united with their valiant resistance, led by the victorious Al-Qassam Brigades and the fighting Saraya Al-Quds, and all factions of the Palestinian resistance, in an epic saga lasting 222 days. During this time, the zionist occupation, its fascist government, and Nazi army failed to achieve any of their aggressive goals against our people in the Gaza Strip, despite committing horrific massacres and waging a genocide war that targeted all aspects of human life, using all types of weapons and ammunition, with full support and participation from the U.S. administration. The land of Gaza, like the blessed land of Palestine throughout history, has never been anything but noble, proud, and repelling to the occupying invaders.

76 years have passed since the zionist enemy occupied our historic land, and since the Nakba and displacement of our people, yet the great Palestinian people remain steadfast on their land, clinging to their rights and constants, defending their identity and sanctities, striking the finest examples of heroism, sacrifice, patience, jihad, and redemption at every stage of the struggle with the enemy. Despite the years, all attempts by the occupation to quell Palestinian consciousness, undermine their resistance, obscure their cause, or erase it have utterly failed. All its aggressive plans against our people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Al-Quds, and inside the occupied territories will shatter against the rock of this great people’s steadfastness and the valor, strength, and fierceness of our resistance, and the rallying of our people in all squares of the homeland and abroad around the comprehensive resistance project as a path to liberating the land and sanctities.

On this 76th anniversary of the Nakba, we in Hamas remember the souls of the martyred leaders and all the martyrs’ caravans of our people in the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood in Gaza, the West Bank, and Al-Quds, and in our Islamic nation, whose blood and sacrifices have become fuel and a beacon for all masses of our people in our ongoing battle against the zionist enemy. We pray to Allah for the speedy recovery of the wounded and the sick, and for the imminent freedom of the prisoners and detainees in the occupation’s prisons, and we affirm the following:

Firstly: We extend a greeting of pride and esteem to our enduring and steadfast people in the Gaza Strip of dignity, who are the people of loyalty, generosity, and sacrifice, with their souls and everything precious, for the sake of Palestine, Al-Quds, and Al-Aqsa, who continue to write the glory of Palestine and the nation, and craft their legendary epic in steadfastness, sacrifice, patience, and redemption, despite the pain of displacement, killing, expulsion, and daily bombing, and the war of starvation and thirst waged by the Nazi occupation, whose dreams and illusions will shatter on the land of Gaza, by Allah’s grace, power, and support.

Secondly: The ongoing battle of Al-Aqsa Flood has cemented the unity, cohesion, and solidarity of our people in all squares of the homeland and abroad, and has proven to the world that our people do not know defeat, surrender, or concession of their land, constants, and rights, no matter how long it takes, and no matter the strength and crimes of the aggressor and its partners and supporters, reaffirming the legitimacy of our people’s struggle and the justice of our cause and restoring its global presence, as a just national liberation cause, for the achievement of freedom, independence, and self-determination, and the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

Thirdly: The ongoing aggression of the zionist occupation for 76 years, and the genocidal crimes it has inflicted on our people in the Gaza Strip for more than seven months, constitute a stain of shame on the forehead of all those silent and negligent in exposing and criminalizing it and working to stop it, and we call on our nation and all the free people in the world to press by all means to stop the zionist aggression against our land, people, and sanctities, and support the steadfastness and struggle of our people aspiring for freedom and independence.

Fourthly: The support and bias of the U.S. administration for this aggression and the ongoing zionist criminality in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the occupied city of Al-Quds, and the policy of double standards practiced by Western powers in dealing with our people’s cause and their legitimate rights; constitute a major sin against all norms and human values, making them partners in bearing responsibility for the genocide facing our people, and we renew our call for them to retract it and do justice to our people and their legitimate rights and end the occupation.

Fifthly: Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque are the focal points of the struggle with the zionist enemy, and the occupation has no legitimacy or sovereignty over an inch of both of their blessed land. Al-Aqsa Mosque has always been and will remain purely Islamic, and our people will continue to cling to the city of Al-Quds as the eternal capital of Palestine. They will not allow the erasure of its features and the alteration of historical and current realities, and will sacrifice lives and souls to liberate them from the filthiness of the occupation and its settler hordes.

Sixthly: We commend the sacrifices of our free prisoners and noble female prisoners in the occupation’s jails, and we affirm that we will remain loyal to them until their liberation. We warn the occupation against escalating its violations and crimes against them, and we hold it fully responsible for the life and safety of the prisoners and detainees in its jails since the beginning of this aggression. We call on the United Nations and human rights institutions to intervene by all means to criminalize and stop the systematic violations of the occupation against them.

Seventhly: The continuing suffering of millions of Palestinian refugees in camps within Palestine and in the diaspora is directly the responsibility of the zionist occupation, and their legitimate right to return to their homes from which they were displaced cannot be compromised or neglected. Here, we call on the United Nations and UNRWA to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities in supporting the rights of refugees, providing relief, and ensuring a decent life for them until their return is achieved.

Eighthly: We call on the masses of our people in all places of their presence, both inside and in the diaspora, to continue their steadfastness, firmness, and confrontation of the occupation and its plans, which target the land, identity, constants, and sanctities, by all means, in all arenas. We salute the hands of the heroes of our revolutionary people in Al-Quds and the entire occupied West Bank, and call on them to further stationing and clash with the enemy and its settler hordes, defending their existence, and in victory for Gaza, Al-Quds, and Al-Aqsa.

Ninthly: While we salute and value the global movement in solidarity with our people and our just cause, exposing the crimes of the occupation in the Gaza Strip, we call on all masses, solidarity activities, and supporters of the Palestinian right to continue and enhance this solidarity and support by all means, in all capitals, cities, and squares of the world, and to press on the countries, governments, and institutions supporting the occupation, until the zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip stops, and our people can secure their legitimate rights to freedom and self-determination.

Mujahideen Movement:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most MercifulStatement issued by the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement on the 76th anniversary of the Nakba:

We affirm that Palestine, from the river to the sea, is Arab and Islamic land belonging to the Palestinian people, and there is no place for the zionist entity on even one inch of it.

We hold Britain, the United States, and their allies responsible for the suffering and tragedy of our Palestinian people, which has continued for a century. They displaced our people from their land, brought in Zionist mercenaries, and created a state on our land.

The right of return to all our lands, villages, and cities is an individual and collective right that will not expire with time, and all those involved in the tragedy of our people will undoubtedly pay the price for their ongoing crimes.

We affirm that the path of jihad and resistance is the only way to reclaim our rights, restore our land, and erase the effects left by the defeat of the Arab armies in 1948 at the hands of the criminal Zionist gangs.

We confirm that the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle is an extension of our people’s ongoing struggle and battles since the revolution of Al-Buraq and Al-Qassam, the blessed intifadas, and the ongoing resistance battles in Gaza, aimed at protecting our people and their sanctities and restoring their usurped rights.

We affirm the continuation of our jihad and qualitative operations across the geography of the homeland. The crimes of the zionist enemy will only increase our determination and steadfastness until the expulsion of the criminal entity occupying our nation’s chest.

We call on all the free people of the world and the active forces in our nation for greater solidarity and support for our Palestinian people until their legitimate rights are restored and the genocidal war waged by the Nazi government of the entity against our people in Gaza is stopped.

Popular Resistance Committees:

On the 76th anniversary of the Nakba and the uprooting of our people from our land due to zionist terrorism, massacres, and atrocities, our people remain deeply rooted and steadfast in their land and homeland, defending their holy sites, and the temporary zionist entity is closer to collapse and disintegration.

The battle and epic of the Al-Aqsa Flood marked the end of zionist arrogance, and the myth of the invincible zionist army was shattered. All the illusions and myths that the zionist entity and its Western allies tried to instill in the minds of the nation and the world were crushed.Over the course of 76 years of zionist criminality and terrorism, with the United States as the head of evil and terror and its Western allies pulling the strings, this enemy has failed to defeat our people or subjugate them. Instead, our people have grown only more steadfast and stronger, determined to liberate their land and reclaim their rights, despite the heavy prices and sacrifices they continue to make.

Our great and noble people, along with their brave, steadfast, and heroic resistance, will continue to stand firm and uphold the indispensable choice of confrontation. They will not be deterred by massacres, slaughters, or the genocidal zionist-American war from continuing their resistance. Their sacrifices will not be in vain; rather, they will result in the downfall of the zionist project and the disappearance of its colonial entity, which has become despised in every corner of the world.

On the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, we salute our great and patient people wherever they are and call for further rallying around the genuine path of resistance, the only path to liberation and return. We urge the escalation of resistance actions in all forms and means, striking the criminal enemy wherever and whenever possible.

We extend our greetings and appreciation to all the free people of the world, to the members of our nation, and to the revolutionary university students worldwide who continue to show their solidarity with our people and resistance in rejection of the genocidal war being perpetrated by the Nazi zionist enemy in the Gaza Strip. We call on them to continue their activities, marches, and sit-ins to stop this criminal aggression which is unprecedented in history.

We salute and bless the fighting and struggling arms that strike the zionist enemy day and night in a great heroic epic that history will record with ink of light in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria, and to all fronts of popular and resistance action that are fulfilling their duty in supporting our people and their resistance and rejecting the war of genocide being committed against them.
