West Papua: TPNPB Raises Flag at Airport, Shoot at Airplane and Helicopter

The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) Ndugama claimed to have raised the dawn star at Keneyam Airport. They also shot at civilian aircraft and helicopters, 07/06.

Brigadier General Egianus Kogeya, commander of TPNPB KODAP III Ndugama-Derakma reported this. “At this time, we raised the dawn star flag at the Keneyam airfield, the capital of Nduga Regency at 11:00 am Papua time,” he said.

“Why did we enter the city today and raise the morning star flag? Because we also shot at a civilian airplane that entered Keneyam airport and a helicopter belonging to the TNI,” he claimed.

“The reason we shot the civilian plane is because so far we have warned that commercial passenger planes should not transport members of the TNI Polri, with all their equipment via civilian aircraft and never use aircraft belonging to the TNI police, namely helicopters,” he said.

“Secondly, we reject the expansion of provinces, districts, districts, villages and whatever is a product of Jakarta on the land of Papua and more specifically on the land of Ndugama,” he said.

“And at this time we emphasize that there should not be any development on the land of our ancestors the Papuan people. If it is not heeded, then we will burn and any aircraft entering we will also shoot,” he threatened.
