Two Years after Our Imprisonment: Mónica and Francisco’s Words from Prison

We have always prioritized not having intermediaries when communicating, that nobody speaks for us and these days that will turn two years since those that support the hegemony of power and strength locked us in these cement graves called prisons, it will not be the exception.

This second year of prison will bring with it the end of the investigative term of our legal process, that is to say that the period in which the Prosecutor’s Office and the dozen of complainants could collect background against us, will end. When the investigation is closed, an intermediate process prior to trial opens.

Judicial investigation against us has not spared resources; the police have made great efforts not to leave any loose ends. With us, they seek to give an exemplifying condemnation that manages to frighten anyone who endorses the practice of political violence, especially with regard to the placement and sending of explosive artifacts. In addition, to the powerful, we are not unknown; on more than one occasion they have sat us on the bench of the accused, and in all these we have made clear our anarchic position. Our current legal situation is closely linked to our previous judicial processes.

We are self-critical with respect to our mistakes at the time of acting, each of them are part of our experience and learning, which we appeal that also serve others. We feel part of a long path of struggles against domain, a historical path that changes from the different conflict scenarios.

Many years ago we decided to travel through the black paths of anarchy, understanding it as a constant tension that in its constructive/destructive dialectic does not arise as an absolute truth or as a place of arrival.

Our life is not dissociated from our enormous desire to want to live as much in line with our ideas; we assume this with all the contradictions that it entails, as in the same way its consequences.

In these letters we are interested again to exalt and encourage the attack against each expression of power. We are emphatic in affirming that we understand the acts of revenge and sabotage as an urgent need, whose multiplication and propagation undeniably strengthens anarchic spaces and positions. We believe that action must necessarily go for the preparation of the conflict, to get out of the comfort spaces to expand perspectives and hit where it hurts the most.

In this sense, we greet each explosive action carried out in recent months, which are undoubtedly a contribution and reinforce the anarchic urban guerrillas.

Each attack on power from an anti-authority perspective is valid for us.

The date on which they will judge us approaches; we know that there are possibilities of spending a long period kidnapped in the state prisons; we are preparing for it thanks to the fraternal support of endless comrades who with each gesture manage to illuminate the night.

In these two years of confinement we have been part of the “Anarchist and Subversive Prisoners” petition, focusing on the return to the street of our comrade Marcelo Villarroel, who is held by the convictions of the Military Prosecutor’s Office perpetuating his confinement. Achieving the departure to street for Marcelo will certainly be a triumph that will strengthen us and benefit the entire social warfare. The call is to multiply the actions and gestures of revolutionary solidarity that allow our partner to step on the street again.

For us, the confrontation against authority has not finished, only changed shape.
