Bomb Attack on Police in Northern Ireland

A police patrol that was traveling in the Mount Carmel Heights district of the city of Strabane (County of Tyrone), in Northern Ireland, was the target of a bomb attack on Thursday around 11 p.m.

Despite the explosion, the two police officers were able to continue their journey to the police station where the damage was found on their vehicle.

The latest action campaign of the New IRA had taken place in 2019, generally targeting the police.
