First Verdicts at the Trial of Anarchist Action Organization in Greece

The verdict was given in the trial of three anarchists accused of being members of the Anarchist Action Organization in Thessaloniki. Today, Wednesday 14/6, the decisions for Panos Kalaitzis, Georgia Voulgari and Thanos Hatziangelou were announced in the court of Larissa.

The anti-terrorist methods and the attempt to link charges based on friendly and associative relations have been shot down. Kalaitzis was found not guilty of all charges. Georgia Voulgari was sentenced to 16 months for accessory to aggravated criminal damage (not under 187a) and obstruction of justice, but as she has already served enough in preventive detention, she was released unconditionally.

Thanos Hadjianangelou, who had assumed political responsibility for the organization, was sentenced to six years and 9 months for aggravated criminal damage, arson and explosion (not under 187a), possession of weapons and obstruction of justice. Considering what he has already served as a preventive and the calculation of penalty reduction, he could be released in a year.
