August 22, 2023.

In light of the recent events perpetrated against the inhabitants of our communities, we are grateful for the diffusion, accompaniment and expressions of solidarity from each and every person individually, from honest collectives that fight for life, from civil society organizations, from organizations that defend human rights, from organizations that defend the right to life, from organizations that defend the right to life, from organizations that defend the right to life, from organizations that defend the right to life.
civil society organizations, human rights organizations, and the media.
Human Rights and of free, independent, alternative or whatever they are called and media; to all those whose memory does not forget.

Facts:
– On August 13, at approximately 11:20 in the morning, Esteban Xochitempa Tepexco (40 years old) and his son, Juan Xochitempa Macario (16 years old), both belonging to the community of Xochitempa, had been murdered at the gas station in Chilapa, by the narco-paramilitary group los ardillos, with the silence of the municipal police who operate for los ardillos and put the video surveillance system of Chilapa at the service of this criminal group.

– On August 17, 2023, Nicolás Rodríguez Díaz (25 years old), Marcelino Hernández Tecorral (23 years old) and Ángel Villalba Salvador (29 years old), all from the community of Zapapexco, were kidnapped on the highway from Chilpancingo to Chilapa, at the Ayahualulco crossroads (the town of Celso Ortega), where there is a military and state checkpoint. It is there where our compañeros were detained when they were traveling in an urban vehicle on their way to Chilapa, by four heavily armed men in state police clothing and a state police patrol car.
It is here where the link between the narco-paramilitary group “Los Ardillos” and the State Police of Chilapa can be clearly seen, but also the army, due to facts that we will mention later on. This information was provided by a witness from one of our communities who was traveling in an urban vehicle that was ahead of the urban vehicle in which the three kidnapped persons were traveling.
This witness had already been interrogated by the 4 armed men, but he said he was from a community outside the CIPOG-EZ, CRAC-PC-PF, because he felt that he could be violated by these people. Unfortunately, the 3 kidnapped men had identification that indicated that they belonged to Zacapexco, one of the communities of the CIPOG-EZ, CRAC-PC-PF, so they were kidnapped and taken to Ayahualulco.

– On August 21, videos circulated in which Angel Villalba Salvador and Nicolás Rodríguez Díaz, kidnapped on August 17 by the “ardillos”, in an evident state of torture, with their hands tied behind their backs, make statements defaming the Indigenous and Popular Council of Guerrero Emiliano Zapata and the CRAC-PC-PF, claiming to belong to the Tlacos and naming our promoter Jesus Plácido Galindo as responsible for sending them to fight against the Tlacos.
of Guerrero Emiliano Zapata and the CRAC-PC-PF, claiming to belong to the Tlacos and naming our promoter Jesus Placido Galindo as responsible for sending them to fight against a criminal group. The declarations are made by young indigenous people deprived of their freedom, they are forced declarations, under torture, with desperation, the last attempt to save their lives if they do it, where they appear without a shirt, with bruises and signs of torture and their gaze fixed on the camera.

We emphasize that among the statements they gave, they spoke of guerrilla groups and gave information such as that in July 1996 there was an ambush on military personnel in the community of Ahuejote, between Chilapa and Tixtla. They also mention that there was another ambush in 1998, by guerrillas against soldiers in the community of Tepozonalco between Chilapa and Atlixtac and that in December 1992 there was a guerrilla ambush against soldiers in Alcozacán. In those years they were not yet born and these are data that the young people did not have. The insistence on the attacks on the army and the accuracy of the dates and places is clear.
These data are in the memory of the army and the State, which does not forgive and holds a grudge, suggesting that not only the “ardillos” and the state police participated in the interrogation and kidnapping, but also the army and the State.

-On August 21, after the videos, a media campaign was unleashed with the participation of media controlled by the squirrels and widely circulated, with the clear intention of erasing the history of pain and death that our communities have lived, as a result of the war of extermination that the squirrels have maintained against the communities that belong to the CIPOG-EZ, CRAC-PC-PF.
Is it possible that our dead and disappeared are forgotten because of statements obtained under torture?
statements obtained under torture?
Is it possible that the criminal history of the “ardillos”, of assassinations, torture, disappearances, as well as their links with the municipal and state governments, changes and now it is the “ardillos” who are the victims and who tell the truth?
As if the aggressors, murderers, kidnappers, torturers, had “moral quality” and “credibility” to discredit based on videos where those who speak are kidnapped and are being forced to talk. History is not erased; a long list of grievances is written with the blood of our dead, blood spilled by the ardillos:
– More than fifty people murdered.
– More than ten forced disappearances.
– Forced displacement of communities.
– Tortured (dismembered, burned, etc).
– Shootings at communities, drones with explosives.
– Arrest warrants and imprisonment for fabricated crimes.

Crimes against humanity that are aimed at the extermination of the indigenous communities of the lower mountain of Guerrero who resist belonging to the criminal group Los Ardillos.
(Information that can be obtained from the Report elaborated by the Civil Observation Mission, called: “Graves Violaciones a los Derechos Humanos en las Comunidades de la Montaña Baja de Guerrero” (Serious Human Rights Violations in the Communities of the Lower Mountain of Guerrero), available at https://www.caminoalandar.org/post/crimenes￾de-lesa-humanidad-contra-las-comunidades-indígenas-del-cipog-ez-cni-cig-guerrero).

The aforementioned crimes, together with the lack of access to the most basic rights such as: health, education, work, access to justice, security, identity and free transit, since our communities are surrounded by organized crime groups that daily threaten, attack, shoot and keep us under siege. That is why we say that the State is also complicit in the pain that our communities are experiencing, because of the abandonment and silence they maintain in the face of the violence we are experiencing.

It is for this reason that their attempts to discredit and defame us do not worry us, because we know that those who do not forget know that the murderers are the squirrels. Because we know that those who have followed our organizational process, as well as the acts of violence we have experienced, know who we are, that our word has been true and that we do not sell out, we do not surrender and we do not give up; they know well that the CIPOG-EZ is an organization that fights for autonomy and for the life of its communities, not for public office or for economic resources.

We also say very clearly that we, the communities that make up CIPOG-EZ, CRAC-PC-PF, are responsible for the lives of each one of our brothers and sisters. And if it should happen that some comrade of our organization decides to surrender to political parties, sell out to organized crime and become contrary to our principles of the struggle for life and territory, this does not imply that the organization that has maintained itself based on sacrifices and lives, has to be implicated in actions that do not correspond to our principles.

Also know that the CIPOG-EZ, CRAC-PC-PF, is not an individual, that we are 25 communities in the Lower Mountains of Guerrero, with a presence in the Costa Chica and Costa Montaña, whose highest decision-making body is the Assembly.
communities of the Lower Mountain of Guerrero, with presence in the Costa Chica and Costa Montaña, whose highest decision-making body is the Assembly and not an individual who can make decisions, whether correct or incorrect. But we do point out that Jesus Plácido Galindo has been a promoter of CIPOG-EZ and to this day has remained firm to the principles of defense of territory and life, so we hold the State responsible for whatever happens to him since our compañero has the Mechanism for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders.

Make no mistake, we will continue in resistance, for now blocking the José Joaquín de Herrera-Chilapa highway, for justice for our dead, for the demands of the investigations of the municipal presidents, of the municipal police of Chilapa, of Atlixtac, of Quechultenango and other municipalities controlled by the Ortega Jiménez brothers; waiting for the federal and state authorities to show their faces for the ineffectiveness of their institutions.

Chilapa, Atlixtac, Quechultenango and other municipalities controlled by the Ortega Jiménez brothers; waiting for the federal and state authorities to show their faces for the ineffectiveness of their institutions, the infiltration and linking of their authorities by organized crime.

For a Guerrero where our boys and girls, grandfathers and grandmothers, men and women, live in peace.
